We use the HP 7280 mostly for black & White text documents. When flipping through pages if you dampen your finger to turn the page and happen to touch any of the print, the print will smear beyond readability. We have 6 other models of HP printers and this problem does not happen with them. You will always get a certain amount of ink smear when it gets damp, but this is way beyond anything else we use.
Has anyone else seen this problem and if so, were you able to solve it.
Absolutely amazing! This is 12/23/2010 and there is still no knowledgeable answer; and, I have the same problem.
Maybe it is the paper quality that you are using. Try to change it.
