Zombie Apocalypse

BluRay Authority
18 October 2013
  • Excerpt: The world has become overrun with the living dead, as cities are invaded by hordes of zombies. In Zombie Apocalypse, you play as one of four survivors, while up to three other players can also participate. And with thousands upon thousands of the undead, you’ll want the extras guns, trust me. Once you choose your character, you’ll have to survive day after day of zombie swarms, plus protect other survivors from time to time.

Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone

Game Over Online
5 December 2011
  • Excerpt: The first Zombie Apocalypse is a top-down arcade shooter that comes off like a low-wattage Left 4 Dead parody. It came out in 2009 and, like seemingly everything else that involves zombies, was actually reasonably popular. Hence: sequel. While it's not exactly bad , the first Zombie Apocalypse is oddly generic, like it comes in a plain white box with ZOMBIE GAME stenciled on the front in black.

Game Over Online

  • Excerpt: While it's not exactly bad , the first Zombie Apocalypse is oddly generic, like it comes in a plain white box with ZOMBIE GAME stenciled on the front in black. Never Die Alone , its sequel, still features the same basic gameplay hook: you're surrounded on all sides by zombies, who come crawling out of anything and everything that could possibly hide or spawn them, and you need to fight in all directions at once while using local hazards to buy yourself whatever room you...

Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone Review

IGN Entertainment
3 November 2011
  • Conclusion: Zombie Apocalypse isn’t a bad game. The mechanics are sound, the campaign is enjoyable if a bit repetitive, and it makes for some solid coop. But the biggest problem is that while it is an enjoyable romp, it just doesn’t last long. Once completed, you’re left with revisiting the same levels to complete objectives or trying out a lackluster Survival mode, meaning the amount of value you’ll get out of the title is directly proportionate to the amount of time you like...

Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone

oxmonline.com
26 October 2011
  • Excerpt: Released in 2009, Zombie Apocalypse offered a fun, undead-slaughtering romp that suffered a bit from late-game monotony and an overall lack of variety. This sequel addresses those shortcomings, while revealing a few new flaws beneath its rotting flesh. Never Die Alone retains its precursor’s arcadey, co-op–focused core, encouraging four friends to unleash their dual-stick skills on the foot-dragging hordes. This time, though, the heroes have class-based abilities.
  • Pros: + Strategic, creative, gory combat., + Unique, upgradable classes.
  • Cons: ? Dead Island also stars a zombie-hating rapper. Is a new trend emerging here?

  • Conclusion: Yet beating the game and 7DH will take a bit to get. Although not too bad. I can see beating the game in a day. Over all a good buy for 10 bucks. As long as you can take a bit of repetitiveness, that's eased with 3 other friends. Remember, if you can't take mindless waves shooting, don't bother buying it.

Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone

BluRay Authority
16 November 2010
  • Excerpt: Zombie Apocalypse was a fun game, a polished twin-stick shooter that let you mow down hordes of zombies with an arsenal of various weapons. Now we have Never Die Alone, a sequel that ups the ante with better visuals, new survivors, and an upgrade system that adds a ton of replay value. The core experience remains the same, use guns to eliminate masses of zombies, but some new additions really enhance the game.

Zombie Apocalypse Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: Whether you’re trying to snag a coveted spot on the boards or are just in it for the sheer satisfaction of piling the infected corpses high, you’ll appreciate Zombie Apocalypse ’s solid controls and sharp presentation. The former will be familiar to any dual-joystick jockeys who have blasted their way through Robotron or Smash TV . And the latter is an impressive mix of well-detailed environments, over-the-top gore and eerie audio work.

  • Summary: Being yet another twin stick shooter could put off many potential players who are sick of the constant amount of releases in this genre however " Zombie Apocalypse " is a good effort.
