Excerpt: For too long the general perception of gamers has been that of a bunch of couch potatoes with greasy hair and generally slobbish behaviour – I say this in the past tense as things have certainly changed a lot lately. With the advent of the Xbox 360 Kinect more and more games have started to use your whole body as the controller. Now that it’s no longer just our thumbs getting a workout we should see a new generation of gamers with lean and fit bodies walking the streets.
Summary: Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 focuses on connectivity. Using Kinect and Xbox Live, you connect with other players with similar weight loss or exercise goals so you can better arrange group workouts or trade tips and advice.
Excerpt: Last fall’s Your Shape: Fitness Evolved was simple but effective — its squat-happy nature made our quads burn all through prime ham/turkey/turducken season. After a while, though, we got a little bored with it, even after grabbing its New Year, New You DLC. (Hey, don’t judge.) So we were looking forward to Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 , which adds more than double the content…and unfortunately, double the frustration.
Pros: + Even wider variety of activities than the first game, with more intensity levels., + Refreshed menu system allows you to jump into the action much faster.
Cons: ? What’s with the bipolar voiceovers when you leave Kinect’s field of view?
Conclusion: Your Shape: Fitness Evolved is a great start for Kinect fitness titles and demonstrates that, with just a little more focus and direction, the Xbox will soon be providing the perfect way to get fit in the comfort of your home. Until a more precise programme comes along, Your Shape will do a great job of keeping you active with minimal fuss.
Kinect exergaming OK for all ages but geared for grown-ups.

Summary: Parents need to know that Your Shape: Fitness Evolved isn’t a game so much as it is a fitness trainer. Players create and follow their own workout regimens, which can involve classic exercises, cardio workouts, Tai Chi, and even a few fitness games. The objective is a healthy lifestyle, and much of what you learn can be applied outside the game. It is designed more for parents than children, but older kids can still get a lot out of it.
Robust suite of fitness activities, routines, and games.

Summary: Parents need to know that Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 is more of a collection of fitness programs than an actual game (though there are some mini-games). The Kinect for Xbox 360 cameras and sensors accurately monitor your movements in front of the TV. This disc promotes health and fitness, but there are a few minor references to violence and sex appeal.
Conclusion: The last achievement requires that you subscribe to an online event to obtain. So far these "online events" are not available on the website and to my knowledge do not have a release date. In short YS:FE is a great way to work out and get in shape in the comfort and privacy of your own home. This is a must have for Kinect owners.
Conclusion: IMO, this game really helps, i felt a 2 day burn after a semi-long Bootcamp workout. As for achievements, theyll all pop eventually if you do each class, workout etc. Calorie burning may take a while, but if serious about this, youll get it:) (only cheevo im having issues with is the join event one, cant seem to join one on their webpage - any help would be welcomed)
