Summary: This game is easily one of the most annoying yet most rewarding games I have ever played. Overall it is good enough that after I borrowed it from a friend, I bought him a copy and shipped it to him so I could keep playing it in the future. It is like a game of chess, with a save function thank goodness. You will lose troops permanently which makes each battle a careful and cautious undertaking.
Summary: All I can say is this is currently my favorite game. I like the pace of the game. I am a big science fiction fan so that is always appealing to me. I like how you have to manufacture new equipment and weapons for your team. As our rank increases you have the opportunity to expand your team from four up to six. I like the fact that I can customize my each member of my team from their look down to the equipment they carry. You can even give them names and nicknames.
Summary: Its an excellent game. I was surprised how much I am enjoying it. The graphics are a bit behind for a recent game, dull in many ways, but it works well and operates easily. Its a bit short too on evolving story. Its a good exciting game. I would like to see more story, an idea of the politics going on and some more people stuff. The characters have no character. Games like Mass effect are doing it well.
Summary: Overall I give this gave a 4/5 score. "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" is a turn based game where you are fighting off an invading alien force. There are multiple variables the player must balance; prioritizing technology upgrades, base construction, and troop development are some of these variables that impact the overall success. There are different levels of difficulty available giving the user the option to save constantly.
Summary: Takes me back to my Final Fantasy Tactics days. This game is very fun and has a ton of options to have diverse character sets. The expansion adds even more options and is very impressive. It is a LOT of fun to play.
Summary: This is a great game for when it came out, but since release Enemy Within has come out. It's an identical game with a lot more features and the story is deeper. There are also more side missions and less repeativeness in the abduction missions. Great game but feels dated now.
Summary: XCOM: Enemy Unknown is now regularly available under $20 and it is well worth the price. I have invested countless hours in the original and I was reluctant to pick this game up because I didn't see how it could compare to the original. None of the sequels did. But 2K did a great job with it. It looks cartoonish but it also looks great.
Summary: Got my ass kicked on the second easiest setting the first time I played. I love a game that comes with a legitimate challenge. Will definitely buy the next one and try to amp up the difficulty.
