Summary: I had high hopes for this game. I am such a HUGE X-Men fan and Video Game fan. I have been playing video games since I was 5 with Super Mario Bros. I have been collecting X-Men since 5th grade, and I am 30 lol.... The graphics at preview were a let down, but I still had hopes they put more effort into the game itself then. I was wrong...... The gameplay is pretty predictable.
Summary: Let me preface my review by saying that I have been an X-men fan since I was four years old, watching the 90's cartoon on Saturday mornings, and I've been a gamer since I was six, playing the N64. I have read a lot of X-men comics and played a lot of video games. System:Xbox 360 Story: In the months leading up to the release of this game the developers were promoting the game as "in continuity".
Summary: Bad graphics. Jumped in playing it on the hardest difficulty and all I had to hit was the attack button for any/every battle. I was thinking about letting my 3 year old daughter play it but she doesn't like things that simple.
Summary: I love the X-Men, and I love comics-based video games. This game seems really cool to start with; The character generation and initial gameplay are fun and easy to learn. However, it soon gets boring as the fighting moves you use are all learned in the first stage, and are all the same no matter which powerset you chose. So it seems as though you will have lots of choices and character development, but you don't. This game was fun for about 30 minutes, and that was it.
Summary: I thought that the “build your own mutant“ thing, was going to save the videogame saga. but when I started I only saw 3 available powers and characters, the graphics can be compared with Crash Bandicoot: Cortex Wrath.
Summary: I have never seen a game as bad as this one. Gameplay is unoriginal, mutant power branches way too simplistic, and focus is put to much on cloned powers from established marvel characters instead of developing the selectable characters. Storyline is ok but really confusing if you aren't up on your x-men lore. Beat hard mode in under 2 days and earned 44/50 achievments. A poorly designed game taking a free ride on the x-men name.
Summary: I'm not a huge snob when it comes to reviewing games. I enjoy the majority of the games that I buy and am a huge X-Men fan. That being said, this game is an absolute waste of money. I lost interest in this game within 15 minutes of playing it. The graphics and environments appear to barely challenge the initial XBOX hardware and do not belong on the 360.
