List All 5 PricesDespite a lead character that isn't the most likeable we've come across and some pretty repetitive gameplay, X-Blades still manages to be decent fun. This isn't enough to elevate it to must own status though, especially with plenty of better alternatives available on each platform. By no means a terrible effort, but X-Blades has too many problems to ignore. Read more
In the end, X Blades is just downright terrible. It shouldn’t be played, it shouldn’t be rented and it shouldn’t even be looked at. It’s not a top notch clone of successful series, but more of the failed experiments of clones that are left in incubation tubes in science fiction movies because it is an utter failure. Don’t waste one cent of money or one ounce of time on it. Read more
X-Blades is a collection of poor choices pushed together into one big mistake of a game. It is a poor Devil May Cry clone with boring gameplay, an annoying main character, bad acting all around, and atrocious level design. You control Ayumi, a horribly voiced warrior, playing through a game from the early 1990s thrust into the third dimension. Read more
To quote Monty Python: "Run Away!" Seriously though X-Blades isn’t worth your money at full cost, might be worth a rental for some mindless hack and slash fun, but that’s about it. X-Blades just can’t compete with the games it tried to copy, it seems to try to be creative but fails miserably at it, especially when you blatantly copy things from other games. Read more
I would have loved to have given a more in depth review of "X-Blades" however this is difficult as there simply is not much depth to the final game and what is written above is pretty much all you get from the game. Read more
You'd think that there's not a lot to expect from a game like this. A Devil May Cry clone with a half-dressed chick swinging two huge gun-swords around killing things. Seems like a sure thing. And yet, it fails to deliver. The game tries to hide the half-baked level design by making you stand in place while monsters respawn until you kill enough to close the portal, just to stretch things out in a room roughly the size of a mens' bathroom stall. The camera is apparently... Read more or see product
Fun: Well it has good graphics and a sexy lead character but where's its lacking is in gameplay where its repeating the same thing all over again. I know its a hack & Slash game but even Devil May cry 4 has more variation than this. For the achievement Hunter's this is a easy thousand though. Read more or see product
X Blades is more or less a hack n slash that tries to add item collecting and smashing as a way to drive away from repetitive game play. The story is simple to understand and the music really works. The visuals as far as I'm concerned are pretty well balanced. There's a chick that's about 80% exposed set in a ruined environment that changes from a semi- tropical look to a more arid look. Light gleams off of her metal "armor" and weapons adding a nice touch on the sense... Read more
