Excerpt: There’s an old saying that dynamite comes in small packages and Worms: The Revolution Collection certainly is a single game disc packed to the brim with tons of explosive content. Combining Worms Revolution and all three of its downloadable content into one disc is enough to get any Worms fan squirming with delight, but the good news is in The Collection pack, that’s not all that is included!
Summary: " Worms Revolution " is much too generous really. Yes, the graphics engine might be new, but it’s not exactly mindblowing, nor does it change the game up in any really interesting ways.In fact, the graphics can be pretty jaggy, and the physics pretty wonky. With some friends around, Worms is still pretty awesome. But if you mainly play online, the game is just dead/ broken online so you may want to think twice about this one.
Conclusion: Worms Revolution is a full and great package for the price. As a downloadable game this would be a good collection to any library to keep handy on a hard drive and keep revisiting. This game is hilarious and witty with its narrator and silly character ramblings. Playing through the campaign is well worth it and with a good multiplayer mode there is enough Worms to go around!
Excerpt: Worms is the Rolling Stones of video game series. Despite adding to the discography and experimenting with some dangerous new styles, they never really change, no matter how much the world shifts around them. However, no matter what they do, they achieve it with style and class. If there was ever a game series that can impress without ever surprising, it’s Worms. If you have never played one, the premise of the games is fairly simple.
Excerpt: This was my first dive into a Worms title, and it was a rather nice entry game that made me enjoy the series. Worms is a strategic game where you select a team of worms and try to defeat another team of worms. Throughout each level, you move your worms around the map until you find a sweet spot from which to take out your targets.
Summary: doesn’t break the mold. What it does is build upon the solid gameplay that previous titles have had. The new elements add enough to the game that fans of the series will want to check it out, yet new Worms’ players won’t be scared away. If you have some friends interested in the game,
is worth a look.
Excerpt: The Worms are back and are “classier” than ever before in this revolutionary rendition of the franchise that has span nearly two-decades. Now when I say class, I literally mean CLASS because the folks over at Team17 have introduced a whole new class system, along with a brand new 3D game engine to boot.
Excerpt: Real worms seem interested only in baking to a crisp on your driveway, but Worms Revolution ’s invertebrates are armed to the teeth and ready to murder one another on 2.5D cartoon battlefields. Upgraded graphics aren’t the only adjustment in the latest chapter of this long-running series.
Pros: + Charming new 2.5D graphics; lots of weapons and gadgets; new classes inject a bit of unit variety., + Multiplayer is familiar fun; new dynamic water hazards; worms have silly banter.
Cons: ? Why do shotguns work so well at long range?
Excerpt: Okay, this is not something to be proud of, but I’ll say it anyway – I haven’t had Worms for a few years. In fact, I haven’t had Worms ever since migrating my gaming platform of choice from PC to Xbox. This may not seem like a big deal to many of you, but consider this for a moment: I was around when Team17 first opened the proverbial can, and that ‘beginning’ was in 1995.
Excerpt: Listen up, maggot: you’re in the Worms army now. Revolution continues the long line of turn-based tactics where angles and velocities rule the roost as little squads of Worms use weapons to annihilate their opposition. There’s some new bells and whistles here mixed in with the earthworms and night crawlers, but its core of war remains unperturbed despite the title.
