Wolfenstein

Game Over Online
14 September 2015
  • Excerpt: Castle Wolfenstein has kept many secrets. It was the first time gamers heard "achtung!" on their Atari 800s and Commodore 64s. It was also the first time that video games in general gave you a set of papers and a gun and then told you to go "kill some naahzees.

Wolfenstein 3D (EU Ver)

True achievements
25 September 2012
  • Conclusion: The enemies are varied, but you'll know exactly how to deal with them once you get a feel for their strategy, weapon and their iconic German phrases that are shouted when they know you're around. (ACHTUNG!) All in all, it is a steal for 400MSP if you're a nostalgia junkie.

About
13 November 2009
  • Summary: Resident Evil Revelations 2 is more of an action game than survival horror, but it is an enjoyable 12-15 hour romp that fans of the series will enjoy. With great co-op and stunningly smooth gameplay (seriously, Resident Evil has never felt this good to play before), Revelations 2 is solid overall...
  • Pros: Raid Mode; solid co-op; gameplay is smooth and fast; interesting campaign
  • Cons: Did it really need to be episodic?; so-so presentation

  • Excerpt: Ask an older gamer about Wolfenstein and you'll likely get one of two reactions: Castle Wolfenstein , a 2D, stealth-based computer game from the 1980s, or Wolfenstein 3D , an early 1990s first-person shooter that many point to as the catalyst for the popularity of that style of game.

  • Excerpt: Let’s skip the customary introductions, shall we? We all know that the majority of first-person shooters owe a lot – if not everything – to Wolfenstein, and you don’t really need telling again.

Wolfenstein

Auracore MediaWorks
23 September 2009
  • Summary: Nein! Ist pronounced Volfenshteen!
  • Pros: Satisfying gunplay and weaponry; veil powers add a cool twist to the WWII genre; solid graphics and presentation; good level design; upgrade system for weapons and magic is well thought out; loads of hidden items to find and unlock in both single and multiplayer; fun yet cheesy b-movie storyline.
  • Cons: Hub sections are repetitive and don't add a lot to the experience; bland multiplayer; there's nothing shockingly original here; the game is more linear than you'd think.

Wolfenstein Review

PlayDevil
22 September 2009
  • Summary: " Wolfenstein " deserves a better score than it’s got. It’s got an excellent (albeit short) single player with a fantastic hub city and a great final level. However, the multiplayer, which is really fun at first, soon gets pretty tiresome, especially when you realise it’s totally broken.

Wolfenstein (Xbox 360) Review

411mania.com
19 September 2009
  • Summary: Wolfenstein has always been about one thing, killing Nazis. Wolfenstein on 360 and PS3 holds up this tradition of mindless fun, although it doesn’t do anything revolutionary. The multiplayer mode is a big letdown, and I have my doubts the community will stick around.
