Reviews and Problems with Watchmen: The End is Nigh
Showing 1-6 of 6
Quasi the Mode Toad, Warner Bros
6 September 2011
Summary: I didn't know what to expect out of this game to be honest. I'm not a hardcore Watchmen fan, and I really bought this because it looked entertaining and I needed something to kill some time. That's exactly what I got. Just something to kill the time. It's not bad, per se. But it's not very entertaining. There's not much of a thought process, and there isn't much variety to the villains (at least what I've seen so far).
Pros: Fun To Play, Good Audio, Graphics, Multiplayer
Watchmen: The End Is Nigh (also known as more reasons for Alan Moore to hate everyone)

Summary: First things first, I really dig the title to this game(did I just say dig? Man I'm lame). "The End is Nigh" seemed like a wierd choice at first, but after considering the storyline and overall themes of the game and movie/graphic novel its based on, its easily on of the the coolest sounding titles of the year(besides, it beats "Watchmen: the offical game based on the movie"). Sadly the game isn't a good as the title.
Summary: Historically, and to a lesser extent traditionally, most movie-to-video-game tie ins do not bode very well with fans and the general gamer audience alike. Come to think of it, I believe I can only think of two (Top Gun and Golden Eye). Watchmen: The End is Nigh ("End if Nigh") is not much of an exception is any at all. I had some big reservations about a Watchmen video game when my friend called me up and asked if I wanted to try it out the night of its release.
