Summary: This game is really fun and has some really good customization options for your army. It is also a lot unlike most other strategy games like command & conquer because you control massive armies. It requires actually thinking although the controls can be a bit complicated all the more basic controls that you need are easier to remember.
Summary: I picked this game up from my local used media store for $3.95. I played through the tutorial, and decided that my time would be better spent on a different game. The controls are definitly as complex as the other reviewers state, and to me felt incredibly awkward, and I often found myself doing something I was not trying to do. The step by step is ok in the tutorial, but once they turn you loose for a mission, you have no idea what you are doing. Or at least I didn't.
Summary: This game is the type where you have to savor units and pick them wisely. Best thing to do in a game like this is actually try to be strategic not like Gears of war where you barge into a new level and bayonet some guy, you really have to think out your plan before you play. Each unit is good against something else such as pikemen are good against horsemen and so on. Another thing you need to take into consideration is your hero.
Summary: I read alot of reviews for this game and heard it had over complicated controls which made the game unplayable, I enjoy the warhammer universe though I am new to it, so I bought the game to see for myself. The first thing I did was play through the tutorial which goes over the controls very well and though I was a bit confused at first, it didnt take away from the game and I was slaughtering armies easily using the controls within an hour.
Summary: Decent RTS for consoles. The controls take a a few minutes to adjust to but they're definitely manageable. If you're looking for something similar to the Total War series this will be right down your alley.
Summary: I bought this game two days ago and I finished the EMPIRE campiagn yesterday. I started playing chaos now and it is fun, but I had no idea what is good against what. The game doesn't need strategy. Just send your troopers en masse and you will probably win. The heros are a waste of time, they were hard to use. To cast a spell you had to hold the right trigger, hit left/right on d-pad, and press y, x, b, or a.
Summary: Ok, this game is based off of a tabletop strategy game, so don't expect yourself to be able to jump into the campaign and start kicking booty. Since its on consol, they controls are VERY complicated, I would say get it for PC, but if you don't mind learning them, then go ahead and get this. No the graphics arn't that great, but the gameplay and the story make up for it.
Summary: I was looking for a walkthrough for this game online. There aren't any. After playing it, I know why. I thought the Human Campaign was sort of fun and kind of easy once you learn that you can blow up all of your enemies with cannons. But after playing 4 missions into the Orc Campaign, I couldn't take it anymore. Concept: 9/10 Make a Real Time Strategy War Game with heavy RPG elements so you can upgrade your armies and heroes.
