The game is a third-person action game that features character executing the iconic moves in the movie, such as the “Curving Bullets” and “Assassin Time”. It is created by GRIN, who also gave gamers Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter series and the Bionic Commando. The game also features Advanced Cover Gameplay which incorporates an advanced cover mechanic that allows players to use items and the surrounding environment to protect themselves against enemies.
See lessThe surprising thing is that through all of its gameplay clichés, Wanted isn't a total waste. No matter how mundane the rest of the game may seem, the bullet-curve aspect is a cool element and definitely a feature that could've been improved further. The developers attempted to enliven the atmosphere a bit with variety of interactive action sequences. Sadly, this was also enjoyable for a short time. Yep, storming through the single-player is yet another downside to... Read more
Weapons of Fate had a lot of promise and even managed to get a few things right. Its cover system is fluid, its action is fast and it manages to recreate the visual and audible portions of the film with painstaking detail. Unfortunately, these were not enough to save the game, as it manages to be incredibly short lived and underwhelming in its repetitive and limited execution. Even so, I’d like to see another game (even if it’s not necessarily a Wanted title use the... Read more
Wanted is not such a bad game that fans of the film should avoid it completely, but as a third-person shooter, there are countless titles that are far more worthwhile. Read more
"Wanted: Weapons Of Fate" is a difficult game to judge. Without the bullet curving, it would be an extremely tired, jaded and generic 3-rd person action game that I really couldn’t recommend. But the curving is such a cool addition it can’t be ignored. Read more
Wanted: Weapons of Fate doesn’t suffer from the “Bad movie-license game” curse. It is not that bad. Sure, curving bullets around objects to pop enemies is a cool mechanic and the dialogue is pretty funny as fits right in with the comic/movie. But it suffers from being too short and not having enough after you beat it to keep on playing. You can beat this game in a single sitting, so a rental is all you need. If you’re a fan of the movie or comic, you’ll pick it... Read more
It is a decent action title with some fun replay value and is faithful to the comic. Was surprising at how fun it is. Read more
rented the game glad i did. The graphics are good for in gameplay, but as for the cutscenes they date back to the year 2000, i mean the cutscene graphics are horrible in comparision to the graphics you see in gameplay. but as you all know graphics dont make the game fun, gameplay does. So heres my rant on the gameplay. I played the demo and i loved it. Rented the game found out that what i played in the demo was the pretty much the same thing except boring. Lots of... It’s rare that a video-game adaptation deviates from the film so much- but Wanted: Weapons of Fate decides to take a new spin on things- filling in some of the gaps the movie failed to elaborate and going into some of the past involving ... Read more
