Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Rare and Microsoft Game Studios have brought back the Viva Pinata series, and this time the series goes back to its garden creating roots. Which makes us very happy here at Family Friendly Gaming. Over one hundred pinatas are available to the player in various gardens. The different area themed gardens are a nice improvement over the last Viva Pinata game (not counting Viva Pinata Party Animals).

Viva Pinata

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Microsoft has really been grooming the Xbox 360 along quite nicely in order to attract families to the console. Family Friendly Gaming has taken notice, and jumped into the pond with coverage. Viva Pinata is based on Pinata Island, where the little party critters are groomed in garden as opposed to being created. The player starts out in an area that has seen better days, and needs some tender love and care. This is where we the game players come into play.

Viva Piñata Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: If you're lucky, one of your friends on Xbox Live will have the piñata you're looking for, and they'll send it to you in a crate. Interestingly, you can send anything to the people on your friends list (sorry, no shipping stuff off to strangers), including sours, which will actually attack their piñatas. Yes, that's right, you can grief your buddies in Viva Pinata .

Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise Review

IGN Entertainment
7 March 2010
  • Conclusion: One of TiP’s potentially coolest tweaks is the ability to scan collectible cards with the 360 Vision Camera. Upon reading these cards, the device will transfer a new item directly into your game; it might provide new supplies, weather effects or a cosmetic item to outfit your piñatas in. But, even cooler, it could grant you with a rare species not available anywhere else.

Viva Pinata (Xbox 360) Review

411mania.com
7 July 2008
  • Summary: Viva Pinata is probably the most unique game I have played all year. It’s fun, bright, and quirky. I highly suggest that fans of Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon check this game out, because it’s that type of gameplay that brings people coming back to play. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go check on my Mousemallows to make sure they are happy.
