  • Conclusion: It is worth a rental, but no more then that. Mini-games can only entertain for so long, especially these, and the lack of any kind of story with an overall really easy difficulty to go with this really seals the deal for a short game. • Conclusion: If you don’t have a Pińata game, the original is the only choice. If you already own and enjoy Viva Pińata, don’t sour your opinion of it with Party Animals.

Viva Pinata: Party Animals

  • Excerpt: chance to attend the Microsoft Holiday Preview event in Vancouver, BC. While there we had an opportunity to try out Viva Piñata: Party Animals for the Xbox 360. We only played the game for about 10-15 minutes and overall the quick races and mini-games seemed alright. Nevertheless, at that time I recall thinking, "I hope there is much more to the game than this". Well, after having played the game for several hours I have discovered that my initial thoughts were right.

Viva Piñata: Party Animals (Xbox 360)

The Review Busters
24 February 2008
  • Conclusion: Viva Piñata: Party Animals might not be the game we are wanting from Rare, but it will do for now. Party Animals is mainly meant for children, teenagers and young adults will most likely get sick of the game play here after an hour or so. You can easily finish this game within two hours and that is including the achievement points if you are good enough. For now I would rent this game, buy Viva Piñata and save the extra money for when Party Animals becomes cheaper.

Viva Pinata: Party Animals

Auracore MediaWorks
19 December 2007
  • Summary: Forget the candy. These pinatas should be full of nitroglycerin
  • Pros: Beautifully animated graphics; perfect for younger audiences.
  • Cons: Mini-games soon become hackneyed and unimpressive; camera angles during races are ill-placed; voice-acting can lead to grated nerves.
