Conclusion: I really did want to like this game. After all, with 1080p graphics and loads of real-world tennis pro's to play against, this really should be the tennis game to end all tennis games. However, the lack of any real tutorial or instructions means that the casual gamer does not really stand any chance of building up the skills necessary to master the game.
Summary: I am not a pro gamer. So this review is for fun loving, part time gamers. pros: 1) good graphics 2) fun playing in doubles 3) mini games and practices in career mode cons 1) difficulty difference is far between Normal and Hard mode. It is tooooo easy to beat an opponent in Normal gameplay. Suddenly its damn tough in Hard! There has to be a middle level. It helps you to improve. 2) Player movements are uncontrollable.
Conclusion: Virtua Tennis has always been a true arcade game in my opinon, and i have been a fan since the days of it in the arcade and on the dreamcast. The Xbox 360 version does not dissapoint. The graphics are good , the controls are simple and effective , and the sound effects are what you expect from a Tennis game.
Summary: Players dive for a heck of a lot of shots and take time to get back up again, thus losing you the point. This gets very annoying as players spend far too much time on the floor, not very realistic at all. Top Spin 2 is a much better game and is cheaper too.
