Summary: This game wasn't as fun as I thought it was gonna be. It seems okay, but just not my thing. It's all a matter of opinion, and everyone's opinion is different...I'm sure there are probably other players out there that love it, but unfortunately I'm not one of them.
Summary: Thankfully I bought this game used. The quality assuarance is horrible. Early on in the game (30-45 minutes in), when I get to the Forest Hut, the cut-scene is not there and the game is locked so you can take no actions. I restarted three times (selecting the "see my love again" option) and the same result happened. I then selected the "undecided" option and the scene worked.
Summary: First Risen, then Venetica; could not finish either. Quest-based, which does not appeal to me at all. I'm much more likely to enjoy something wide-open like Oblivion then taking orders from NPC's for 40 hrs. Is performing quests for NPC's in a certain order supposed to be fun? Anyway, it looks like I did one quest in front of another (freeing a prisoner at the docks instead of first speaking with one of the guards there) and so I can't finish the game.
Summary: I was constantly having to adjust tactics as the main character would act wrong. The game has you develop all these wonderful combat moves, then puts you on narrow corridors or has the monsters block you off so you can never use them. You have this wonderful three part attack routine that is supposed to do much more damage than a normal attack, but by the time you get to the third part in the attack the enemy is in defense mode preventing you from doing the damage.
