Summary: Although an older title, I found this to be very enjoyable and challenging at the same time. I am a casual gamer, I like to play and have several RPGs that are more sophisticated (Mass Effect, etc.), but this is just a pleasure to play. If you're an experienced Gamer you will find plenty of challenge throughout the game. Enemies become more difficult, and leveling up actually does help during a playing through.

Summary: As someone who enjoyed the Fable franchise (minus Fable 3), I was thrilled to play this game once hearing that it had strong similarities with those games. The story kept me engrossed for quite some time and I was a bit disheartened when it came to an end. I was in a severe RPG drought at the time I bought this helped with that drought for awhile. I would definitely recommend this game to others. A bit glitchy/buggy at times, but nothing game-breaking.
Summary: Several months ago I somehow stumbled upon a magical fantasy land in which I actually had disposable income. Flush with riches, I decided to visit Amazon and actually make a dent in my gaming wish list. Among the titles I bought was a B-list German-developed fantasy RPG called Venetica. I finally got around to breaking the shrink wrap on it a couple weeks back and holy carp you guys, this game is so much fun.
Summary: Ive tried this game. The story and many ideas are interesting. The problem is how these ideas are implemented. For example the armor system. You find an armor, youve to bring it to the right person and this armor is reworked so it fits you.Interesting idea but in the end, its another way to a merchant oder blacksmith for no gaines.Youll get the armor, the stats remain the same, no option for Ive tried this game. The story and many ideas are interesting. The problem is how...
Summary: This game wasn't as fun as I thought it was gonna be. It seems okay, but just not my thing. It's all a matter of opinion, and everyone's opinion is different...I'm sure there are probably other players out there that love it, but unfortunately I'm not one of them.
Summary: First Risen, then Venetica; could not finish either. Quest-based, which does not appeal to me at all. I'm much more likely to enjoy something wide-open like Oblivion then taking orders from NPC's for 40 hrs. Is performing quests for NPC's in a certain order supposed to be fun? Anyway, it looks like I did one quest in front of another (freeing a prisoner at the docks instead of first speaking with one of the guards there) and so I can't finish the game.
Summary: I was constantly having to adjust tactics as the main character would act wrong. The game has you develop all these wonderful combat moves, then puts you on narrow corridors or has the monsters block you off so you can never use them. You have this wonderful three part attack routine that is supposed to do much more damage than a normal attack, but by the time you get to the third part in the attack the enemy is in defense mode preventing you from doing the damage.
