UFC Undisputed 3 – Review (360, PS3)

mature-gaming.com
7 September 2013
  • Excerpt: The release of the original UFC Undisputed game introduced me to the world of MMA. Beforehand, MMA to me was naively seen as illegal cage fighting and something that seemed to be banned from pillar to post.  How wrong I was.  The UFC’s branding, rules and marketing prowess transformed what I considered a hybrid fight club transform into the fastest growing sport on the planet and it was growing before my very eyes.

Bloody brawler is knockout for mixed martial arts fans.

Common Sense Media
19 April 2012
  • Summary: Parents need to know that UFC Undisputed 3 is a simulation of the mixed martial arts league known as the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Players compete as either popular brawlers or they can create their own fighter as they try to win a world title. Since this game involves mixed martial arts, combat is very physical and often brutal and bloody. Scantily dressed women are objectified in the game. The game is also playable online with unmoderated open chat.

UFC Undisputed 3 – It’s A Real Knockout!

The Game Reviews
19 April 2012
  • Summary: UFC UNDISPUTED 3 is one of those gems that come along every now and again, and opens up a whole new world of entertainment. OK it is very violent and because the characters look real I wouldn't advise young gamers to play it. Who would have thought you could gain so much pleasure from stomping on someone's head, or beating a guy endlessly until they are unconscious.

UFC Undisputed 3 Review

VideoGamer.com
27 March 2012
  • Excerpt: Do you know what it actually feels like to take a Muay Thai roundhouse to the leg? If you've never felt the thud of shin bone on prone quadriceps then it might appear a fairly tame way to attack another human being. It isn't. Once you've felt that splitting of muscle and savage aggravating of nerve, sending emergency signals firing through your entire body from the tips of your toes to the lenses of your eyeballs, your whole perception of hand-to-hand combat changes...

UFC Undisputed 3

Square-Go
26 March 2012
  • Excerpt: The Ultimate Fighting Championship is as brutal as fighting competitions get. To get an idea of just how nasty this multiple martial arts contest is, imagine two men brutally beating each other to a bloody pulp with virtually no defence or twisting a competitor’s arm until it was about to snap, or in some cases does snap; “A human cockfight” is how it was once described.

Realm of Gaming
10 March 2012
  • Excerpt: Sports games face quite a dilemma. With the pressure of yearly releases, developers are forced to decide between adding sexy new features and fixing the problems of the past. With Undisputed 3, developer Yuke's smartly decided to forego the yearly grind in favor of a longer development cycle. Has the extra time given the franchise what it needs to last five rounds in the octagon? One of the biggest barriers the game faced is the daunting control scheme.

Review: UFC Undisputed 3

newgamernation.com
8 March 2012
  • Conclusion: The two years off have really helped make this installment better. The hard-hits will satisfy any blood lust you might have as a fan. In fact, if you start playing with other people, chances are fights will rarely see a second round because of knockouts. UFC Undisputed 3 is for fans that love hard hitting and flashy knockouts, and to fans that love the technical aspect of professional fighting.
