Summary: i used to have this particular tony hawk game on the original xbox, along with 3 or 4 others.the gameplay is pretty good, the graphics are ok,and there are alot of challenges to do;to make it to #1 on the ranks list of project 8. overall, pretty good tony hawk game.
Summary: THP8 is the best game in the series by far. It keeps the traditional game play style but adds new and different challenges. Includes many levels that flow together flawlessly. Takes a day or two to get used to how to unlock new areas etc. Have owned every Tony Hawk game ever made and it is by far the best. Much better than the newer proving ground.
Summary: If you were to buy this game, it would be like buying a former best-seller, which I think are better. Project 8 has a great storyline, more than 100 people on a quest being in the top 8 in the city, and you are one of them. Lots of maps to choose from, including an awesome skate park covered with the graffiti that looks so realistic. There is a factory, a construction yard, a school, a theme park, and a couple more maps.
Summary: I have just bought this game second hand for £7 in CEX. I love it so far, as you can actually move the board around when its in the air yourself, so some of the mechanics of skateboarding are captured. The story is pretty simple, just tony hawks is setting up a team for a project. The idea is to complete as many trick challenges as you can, and get the highest score for them. You can also just free skate around for practice or just for fun.
Tony Hawk's Project 8 (Xbox 360): A successful Project!

Summary: Since it debuted in 2000, the Tony Hawk's games have been the definitive skateboarding games, with rivals dropping dead before them. It has gone through quite a few changes with the original, adding big changes like Reverts and Manuals, as well as littler ones like Bam Margera. You can't deny the spark has been lost since the original, with the disappointing, though still good, American Wasteland. Now, we've hit a new generation of consoles where the power is there.
Pros: Sublime controls, superb gameplay, great multiplayer, outstanding sound, lots of content, FREEDOM!!!
Excerpt: "...upcoming release of the 9th Tony Hawk game in October (or 11th, depending) I thought it would be a good idea to write a review on the 8th/10th game, Project 8, one of my favourites on the Xbox 360 and one I have spent many happy hours playing. -------------- Gameplay -------------- In career mode, you start off by customising your character. I must admit, although there is a lot of different clothes and hair colours, (more unlocked in the game) ...
Pros: Decent graphics, excellent soundtrack, great career mode, no loading screens
Cons: Slightly tricky controls, some impossible challenges
