Summary: Graphics: The graphics are average, and could use improvement. 7. Sound: Some classic Tony Hawk soundtracks along with some new ones. A lot of original songs are still missing from the classic Tony Hawk games. If you're creating an HD remake a developer needs to bring back all of the great moments not some of them. 8. Gameplay: The game plays like the old classic Tony Hawk Graphics: The graphics are average, and could use improvement. 7.
Summary: When this game first launched, I probably would've rated it a 5. But now that the controls are tighter, the glitches are fixed and DLC has been released, I can say that this game is worthy of being a THPS game. Definitely worth picking up if you were a fan of the series up until THPS 4.
Summary: Reasons why this version is the worse. 1. No online what so ever even though if you look in the game files you will find gamespy server code listed ready to use. 2. They shut down all the previous tony hawk servers because of the complaints of a lack of online play in this one even though they all where through gamespy which was generating ad-revenue on viewing the servers a ad would pop Reasons why this version is the worse. 1.
Summary: There's too much missing in this version of the game to make it great. For starters, no Transfers or even the ability to customize your skater's individual clothes or anything. Just the board and a couple "outfits". While it does stay true to its promise of being a remake of the first two games, it comes up a bit short.
Summary: Pretty bad when this "remake" feels more like a parody. Missing most features from the original two games such as levels, skaters, multi-player, and create-a-skater. Heck, even most of the animations are missing. When you fall off your skate board you sort of lay there, and the screen flashes white and resets. I would have rather had bought the original game, HD be damned.
Summary: Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD is the best THPS game since Pro-Skater 2. It caters to all the people who have been wishing for a new Tony Hawk game since Project 8. That is to say we are pretending that the gimmicky Tony Hawk Ride and its forgettable successor which also utilized a horrible plastic skateboard controller never existed. Now that Tony Hawk has disappeared from the spotlight after Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD is the best THPS game since Pro-Skater 2.
Summary: Hope for a dying series. This is what Tony Hawk needs to be. Not all those other ones like Ride and whatever the other one with the board was. It takes what is great about Tony Hawk and thats it. Past levels from the good ole days. Not sure what else your expecting from it. Buy it, dont buy it. I know where I stand.
Summary: Let me get this out of the way, as everyone did. You can't rebind controls. Lacking graphic options and multiplayer. The game is polished in everything but options. But I have liked and rated highly good solid games with lax options and no multiplayer before, and there is no reason to give a false review now. If you have ever played the old THPS games, this will be a great trip. If Let me get this out of the way, as everyone did. You can't rebind controls.
