From lifting, tilting and turning the board to execute maneuvers, the game features several difficulty levels that is catered for players of all skills. These include Casual which is the easiest level and allows new-comers to instantly pick up and play, Confident and Hardcore which is are tougher levels catered for the skateboarding aficionados. Tony Hawk: RIDE features six different locations across the globe and up to 100 tricks for the player to master.
Tony Hawk: RIDE is a game that allows gamers to experience what skate boarding is about by utilizing the motion sensing skateboard. This skateboard allows gamers to control the action in game with their feet like they would if they were really skateboarding. The game features four different modes such as Training, where gamers build their skills with the basics, learning how to push, turn, ollie, do flip tricks, perform grabs and grind; Party, which is a multiplayer mode that supports up to 8 players; Trick, where gamers can put their skills to the test and try to achieve the highest score. This mode can be played single or with friends; and Challenge, where gamers perform specific tricks on objects as they skate each area and take on pros. New environments become available to the player if their skills are up to the challenge. The game also features two different styles: Street where the open street levels gives gamers the freedom to execute tricks wherever and on whatever they want; and Vert where gamers drop into the halfpipe and perform gravity defying acts.
