Tomb Raider: Underworld is a visually stunning, epic adventure that continues Crystal Dynamics' excellent run. We reckon it's the best completely original Tomb Raider (Anniversary was, of course, a remake) we've had in years, and is only let down by the odd control quirk and camera issue. If you're looking for a game heavy on exploration instead of gun-play and don't mind looking at a finely toned arse for 12 or more hours, Underworld comes highly recommended. Read more
Despite some of its technical flaws, the series hasn't lost its charm. Lara Croft is as attractive and agile as ever, using a range of moves to reach her goal. Unfortunately, the mishaps in Tomb Raider Underworld left us mostly disappointed and annoyed. Tomb Raider fans are no doubt going to praise this one and may feel inclined to look the other way. The developers haven't straightened out the bad camera after all these years and that's a major problem throughout the... Read more
Despite the popularity of the video game franchise, fans never rallied behind the Hollywood adaptations. Film execs even went so far as to blame Angel of Darkness' bad reviews (which there were plenty of) as the reason why the film bombed at the box office. Read more

Then again, perhaps the short play-time is a blessing in disguise: it helps spare you from a really long adventure where you have to suffer with that camera. Plus, the sooner the story ends, the quicker you can stop paying attention to it. While that has to count for something, it's highly doubtful that this is what Eidos was hoping for with the title. Maybe that downloadable content will address the ridiculous camera issues, so let's be hopeful for that at least. Read more
This has to be the best Tomb Raider game yet. One of my favorite things about Underworld, is the way lara moved. Every time she tumbles, flips, dives, leaps, or falls, looks absolutely amazing and stunning. They used motion capture to create a realistic feel, and it more than payed off. It really makes her feel real. Another thing i really loved was that because of her flowing movements, it really came in handy when exploring and conquering the massive and quite... Read more
Fun game. Controls and moves are easy to learn, nice graphics, good story, length is fine. Where the game really shines is in its puzzles, environments, and level design. It seems a lot of thought went into these, especially in the Jan Mayen Island and Arctic Sea levels and the Lara's Shadow add-on (all of which are fantastic). Criticisms that that the levels are confusing are overstated IMO. You do have to explore the area to figure out what to do next but that's part... Read more or see product
Having Crystal Dynamics take over developer duties from Core was a smart move, and Underworld looks like another enjoyable entry in the Croft franchise. Read more
Everyone knows that this series is due for another re-boot. It's not that the games are bad but that they've just neglected to reinvent and add new dynamics to it's gameplay. However, Underworld is a solid game with beautiful vistas for the beautiful Ms. Croft to explore. The platforming is as challenging and clever as always, requiring both puzzle-solving and incredible timing to traverse some of the many dangerous locations. Where this game lacks is where the... Fun: This review is from: Tomb Raider Underworld (Xbox 360) (Video Game) Tomb Raider WAS amazing. This is the point i'm trying to get across in this review. Back in the days of strict skimpy costumes and locking the butler in the fridge, TR was the best action/adventure game around. However, times have changed. You see, the engine just can't cope anymore. For starters, the camera. It won't move where you want it, I can guarantee when you finish this your memory of... Read more or see product
