This is a good game, but it just wasn't really a 'Tomb ...

Summary: This is a good game, but it just wasn't really a 'Tomb Raider' game to me. Change Lara's name and there is nothing here that resembles any other Tomb Raider. For most people that seems to be OK (or an improvement), but for me it just never felt right. Tomb Raider (2013) is basically just a third-person shooter with a protagonist named Lara Croft. There's no real tomb raiding in the game, just shooting lots of things.
Summary: Similar to the past games featuring Lara Croft. I haven't gotten through a whole lot yet, but it does have that original exploration element, plus much improved graphics and sound. This one probably is going to take a while before I get through a major portion of the game. I think it is worth the $30, they are charging here.
Summary: I bought the "Game Of The Year" edition because it came with codes for multiplayer maps. The multiplayer can only be used while online and NO ONE and I mean NO ONE else was online to play. I spent a hour and could not get one match started. Maybe the Enix servers were down, but that was disappointing.
Tomb Raider 2013 is a great concept that is still....a concept, but looks like a game.

Summary: This is one of those games that really electrifies you with hope in its potential; a real generational game for a console, then without so much as a whisper sends you into oblivion where you wonder...what just happened? Reasons: 1) Length: The only thing shorter than my interest in this game after I bought it was its overall length. I am 43 and play casually, though I am a pretty diligent player, I finished the game in a week playing 2 hours each night.
Great action, but will disappoint fans of early Tomb Raider games
7 July 2013
Summary: This game has a lot going for it: great action, great graphics, great cinematics, etc. a few puzzles here and there, but you will spend a lot of time killing a lot of people in this game. So, as an action game, it's great. However, it fails to capture the vibe of early Tomb Raider games, which focused on exploration and puzzles.
Summary: Well after finally getting my hands on this, I really enjoyed playing this. I enjoyed the story, I wanted to keep playing the game and coming back, even though I enjoyed the story I thought it was pretty predictable, once you got not too far into the game and saw the signs and noticed what was happening, I was able to pretty well predict the ending, though there was a twist it wasn't really any different from how I predicted it to end.
Summary: You gotta be crazy to not love this game. Well, paint me crazy then. Look, I wanted to love Tomb Raider. I really did. Crystal Dynamics did an astonishing job on crafting this origin story for the oft-drooled-over Lara Croft. The wonderful graphics create an environment which alternates between being lush and inviting to haunting and mysterious.
Summary: I am the type of gamer that is pretty loyal to my favorite game franchises - Gears of War, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Tomb Raider - and I tend to overlook a lot of problems with them because I love the stories, characters, feel. You know what to expect when you put one in and sit down to play. That being said, I feel that this effort in the Tomb Raider series was a bit unexpected for me.
Single box for 3 disks? Square Enix scrimping again...

Summary: Obviously I wasn't expecting any extras as this isn't a collectors edition, rather, just a collection of the older tomb raider games, but to have only one case for the 3 disks is a bit cheap. The chances of them getting scratched are quite high as they all sit on top of each other (thats literal, they are not separated like in L.A Noir's disks).
