Summary: I am in excess of 50 years old and I don't cut and paste the equivalent of some other review and pretend to be clever by calling it my own. Because of my age I probably view games differently than most. I don't get wet-pants excited like many younger people do and immediately think the next thing is automatically wonderful; however, I believe I evaluate fairly. Having said this, I admit I tend to be biased by graphics similar to those used in GEARS OF WAR.
Summary: I just recently purchased the original Rainbow Six Vegas, 3 years after it's initial release, and seeing how most of the top reviews are from '06-'07, I figured it would be a nice change of pace to give this a review from today's point of view. The price Amazon is currently charging for this game is a knockout steal; much lower than MSRP. At the current pricing, about $9 lower than MSRP, if you're thinking of buying the game, just do it.
Summary: I hate to be the first to write a non-glowing review of R6Vegas, but I have not had the most stellar experience with it. I have had it for a few weeks now and have tried to give it every chance.. but it still disappoints. The game has its high points; it is a continuation of a terrific game, Rainbow6 3 for the xbox. R63 was one of the top xbox games in my opinion, on campaign and on multiplayer.
Summary: If you are an old school gamer, which doesnt mind games which lack FPS and don't mind not having the aspect of CoD or games alike, then this game will suit your needs, but like me, and other lads my age, CoD is where it's at.
Very good game but it gets repetitive and dull until the twist at the end of the game

Excerpt: Rainbow Six: Vegas is a great tactical shooter which brings tactical thinking into the game. The campaign sees you fight in an elite military team working together to prevent a terrorist siege in a las vegas. You work against the clock to complete objectives to ensure the safety of the city. The graphics of the game are nothing special which does let the game down, however the gameplay makes up for this and then some.
Summary: My main problem with this game is that it is so difficult to see where the enemies are. The bright lights of Vegas only exacerbate things. Soon there is gunfire coming from all angle and its nearly impossible to tell where from until its too late. Less strategy than previous Rainbow six, this is more like Call Of Duty, only not as good. Recommended for serious gamers only, otherwise go for Call Of Duty 4.
Good shoot em up, but not the best on the market, but definately worth the play

Excerpt: This is a good challenging game. You have the ability of controlling your troops. It is a very tactical game to play with lots of sneaking around to do. The graphics on this particular game are pretty good but not amazing. Although you have too much to do on this game to have any time to sit and admire the graphics this offers. Its very stratigic and tactical as timing can be crusial in this game.
Summary: Having owned an Xbox 360 for about 5 months now I have intensely played a number of games that I am comparing this to (Halo 3, COD3, COD4, Half-life2, GTA 4) This is different from your normal crash band shoot-em-up, much like Metal Gear Solid (PS3) you are a small team (and sometimes an individual) who have to fight often large numbers of bad guys. The skill is in learning the uses of different weapons and how to take cover and fire over and around objects.
