Photorealistic and violent shooter earns its M.

Common Sense Media
31 December 2007
  • Summary: Parents need to know that this game -- created for players over 17 -- is a military shooter with realistic and gratuitous violence, played from a first-person perspective. As with many games of this kind, you can aim and shoot all kinds of weapons at terrorists, splattering their blood on the walls as they drop to the floor. Also be aware that this graphic game seems even more so thanks to its photorealistic look.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas

Game Boyz
2 October 2007
  • Excerpt: Developer – Ubisoft Montreal Publisher - Ubisoft Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas arrives on the Xbox 360 with over a full year for the developers to take advantage of the 360's hardware. For many months I had Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas on the radar and marked on my calendar. There was no question I was pumped for this one and I was hoping for a much improved product from the franchise this time around.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas

Thunderbolt Games
24 September 2007
  • Excerpt: Linking up with Tom Clancy by purchasing his Red Storm Entertainment studio was one of the smartest decisions that Ubisoft has ever made. Not only has it given them three critically acclaimed and profitable series, but also a wealth of experience when it comes to creating action and stealth games. Never has this been more apparent than in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas .

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas

Evergeek
21 February 2007
  • Excerpt: In one of your better worst nightmares, terrorists have taken over a casino in Las Vegas. Your job, should you decide to fork of sixty bucks or so, is to lead a squad of commandos to take them out and maybe a few of those annoyingly clangy slot machines in the process. Sweet.

Rainbow Six Vegas

Game Over Online
19 December 2006
  • Excerpt: I’ve been a fan of the Rainbow Six series ever since I got my hands on Rainbow Six 3 for the Xbox. That being said, even I can admit that the last installment, Rainbow Six: Lockdown, was an enormous disappointment. I mean really, a heartbeat sensor? That was a little ridiculous, as was the enemy AI, which could only be described as idiotic. Even the game’s best intention, the Persistent Elite Creation Mode, was inherently flawed.
