Pros & Cons

  • fun and simply, the maps are great, assistance off, best of its genre, brilliant co op
  • a little repetative online, surroundings look bad, un detailed, some jets feel similar, occasional pixilation

There are many aspects in this game that guarantee a decent experience no matter where your preferences lie. For some reason though, it doesn't quite push the envelope in terms of gameplay and it does feel slightly less entertaining than, say, Ace Combat 6. It does, however, stand as one of the best-looking aerial combat games on the market and we do recommend you give it a whirl. Read more

Tom Clancy has a knack for creating worryingly plausible storylines for his ever expanding franchise and H.A.W.X. is no different. In 2014, private military companies are full-sized armed forces allied to no party except their shareholders. One of these corporations, Artemis Global Security, headhunts you - U.S. Air Force pilot David Crenshaw - and your squadron at the beginning of the game. Over the next six years, you fly around the world, intervening in local warzones... Read more

If HAWX would have had a decent multiplayer and several of the other downpoints would have been taken care of, one could have spoken of a true classic. Unfortunately it now just remains an ordinary flight sim with the Tom Clancy name attached to it. Read more

Overall, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. is an amazing entry to the flight simulator genre and a alternative to Ace Combat. I for one enjoyed the campaign more than I did Ace Combat because one, I loved the HELL out of GRAW 1 and 2. Second, I didn’t care for not really understand anything that was going on in Ace Combat 6; not the case here. The four player co-op is a really nice addition to take on the campaign and then the multiplayer mode is competitive and fun and flies... Read more

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. is not the greatest flight combat game on the market. That said, however, it's a well polished title that can bring some fun. It's not terrific and disappointing are the multiplayer options, in which all you've got is an option for online co-op and a standard versus match. But if you're really either into Tom Clancy games or flight combat titles, H.A.W.X. may be worth a shot. Otherwise, the simplistic combat and typical storyline might e a little... Read more

I really enjoyed this game, it has a lot of different plane's / weapons and is a lot of fun, the only bad thing about it is so short, took just over 5 hours on elite setting to complete. Read more

Just got this game with my brother, and I think it is very well-done.  As the 2nd review said, the campaign story is pretty forgettable, but the drop-in/drop-out online co-op is great!  Me and my brother were holding our own, and random guys were joining our game and stealing kills from us.  Pretty entertaining! The controls are very well implemented, and for people intimidated by flight games, don't be.  You don't have to deal with anything like "stall", spin outs,... Read more

Fun: Ok, first off I wouldent pay for this, but seeing as its let than , it's well worth it. The sp missions are brilliatn, both the story, gameplay and just the general "tom clancy" feel of the game all complement each other. Although not the longest game its well worth the money and gave me many enjyable hours. Would defintly reccoment it!! Read more or see product

The basics ok so here we are, another Tom clancy experience awaiting you, good thing or bad thing? answer: good ofcourse! take the voice commands from Tom Clancy's End war and place them into a combat flight simulation and you're ready to go! With this game you have the ability to rip through the skies in a variety of modern combat jets and take on your enemies with realistic aerodynamic movements and insanely accurate rockets and bombs used to send opponents to their... I had been meaning to buy this title for a while before I actually did. I found this on sale for $20 on Amazon and was an instant sale. When I first began play, I'm thinking to myself "Wow $20 what a steal!" Getting further in the game this thought changed to "Oh, I see why." This could have been an amazing title in my view without a doubt. One small attribute changed all of this - Assist Mode OFF. Assist Mode OFF is a mode you'll need to fly in as you advance in the...
