Summary: The good: Fun career mode, smooth and fast gameplay, awesome graphics, fairly consistent. Augusta National is beautifully rendered and a blast to play. Tiger at the Masters and Masters Moments are both challenging and fun side games. The bad: You will spend $100 or more on this game once you buy the extra courses, which you have to in order to progress past the first few events. Completely useless "course mastery".
Summary: Picked the game up used for $25. Great graphics and a whole lot of fun but what the hell is EA thinking making some of regular PGA courses DLC which you are forced to skip and penalized ranking wise if you don't buy them! I can see DLC for extra addon courses but this is total BS! Of course I knew this going in so that's why I waited a year before buying it to save myself from being ripped off by EA's DLC insanity!
Summary: Not as good as the others but still fun. Don't like the caddie, and it seems to me like the loading on this game takes FOREVER! I play HD first person shooters all the time, and they are much faster than this game, which to me does not seem to be that detailed in resolution to take so long to load. I also don't like that we have to purchase more courses. But that seems to be the way video games are going in general.
Summary: Be warned that if you buy this game used, you will likely have to pay an additional $10 to reactivate it on EA Servers. Also don't expect to play game for more than 18 months. EA just deactivated the Tiger Woods 10 servers so now we can no longer play head to head vs. anyone online. EA jerks should be first against the wall when the revolution comes.
Summary: This game could have rewritten the history books. The long awaited addition of Augusta is great, adding Jim Nantz and David Feherty is good, but they are way too repetitive. I don't mind the DLC for buying new courses, but how dare EA charge you for courses that already appeared in previous versions of the Tiger Woods series. That's a farce. You don't have to buy Gillette Stadium and Heinz Field to play Madden, so you should not have to buy courses like TPC Boston, etc.
Summary: Really good gameplay, too bad you have to purchase most of the courses. I am really not happy about the direction EA sports is going with most of its games. All of this DLC that you have to buy now just to play the game. I made my golfer get up to the PGA and all of the sudden I only have a few events to play in unless I purchase extra courses.
very frustrating without knowing how to advance on your own.

Used EA games = online pass at $9.99 / Boycott EA games & the online pass
7 August 2011
Summary: dont buy it used. used = buy an online pass at $9.99 from ps store. They put like half of the course for sell online. There arround 15 course for around $4.00 each. So after you buy this game once. you realize that you only get half of it. and they sell you the other half online. so to play 1 game you get charge twice. at the store and online.
Would be better if all courses were able to be played

Summary: this game was $60.00 with tax and shipping so it makes me a little upset that 3 or 4 golf courses have to be downloaded from XBOX live, when you sell the game at that price ($60.00) you should recieve ALL game features, some of us are unable to have xbox live, other then that the graphics, game play and of course Augusta are fantastic
