DLC

SevenRider, Amazon
19 March 2014
  • Summary: DLC courses are no longer available. Playing Augusta is a nice bonus. Caddy feature is entertaining at first but more realistic.

good game, bad EA

Mandi L. Parrotte, Amazon

  • Summary: beware if you buy this game, EA has apparently stopped the purchase of extra courses so you can't finish the game in some modes.

Not as good as the others

narced_out, Ebay

  • Summary: Not as good as the others but still fun. Don't like the caddie, and it seems to me like the loading on this game takes FOREVER! I play HD first person shooters all the time, and they are much faster than this game, which to me does not seem to be that detailed in resolution to take so long to load. I also don't like that we have to purchase more courses. But that seems to be the way video games are going in general.

Skip this game, unless you want to buy it twice.

  • Summary: Really good gameplay, too bad you have to purchase most of the courses. I am really not happy about the direction EA sports is going with most of its games. All of this DLC that you have to buy now just to play the game. I made my golfer get up to the PGA and all of the sudden I only have a few events to play in unless I purchase extra courses.

Some strange design decisions, but still good.

Chris, Amazon
30 March 2011
  • Summary: First off, I will say I do not buy this game every year, the last one I bought was a few years ago, but the Amazon credit got me to bite. The Good: The golfing part seems really good and I kind of like the caddy advice. Graphically, the game is good, but I don't see any major improvements from the last one I played. The presentation is solid and the courses are pleasant, but sometimes a little too clean.

same old same old

  • Summary: Lovely to be able to play Augusta but it adds only a little excitement to an already stale franchise, Tiger should make way for new blood me thinks.

Not Worth It

Sergio, Amazon
22 January 2012
  • Summary: Nothing really new here. The new caddie feature is really annoying and if you already know how to play, slows down play significantly if you keep it on. The Masters theme doesn't make it anymore interesting. Save your money.

A bit Disappointing

DiceDuP, Play.com
19 June 2011
  • Conclusion: In TW'11 I used to enjoy switching between 3click & stick control "on the fly" using 1 button, which was useful for putting. '12 forces you to go into the main menu each time. Box says "Additional 14 courses!" but you have to spend at least another 17 quid to get them via DLC. Not getting them results in you having to skip lots of events to progress.
