Summary: It is geared more to stealth than fighting. Think of Dishonered without the magic. Main problems with the game is the map: It doesn't show you the areas where you have been and completed jobs so you have to hunt for them by memory because you have to replay them to earn money to buy things. Other than that flaw it was okay.
4.5 stars - If you love Dishonored, Splinter Cell....

Summary: Excellent tactical stealth mechanics. Huge maps with multiple ways to approach missions. Gorgeous graphics (though you will want to increase the brightness slider). A genuinely spooky asylum level. You definitely can't fight your way through this game, and the absence of "magical powers" like in Dishonored don't give you as much freedom as that game.
Summary: This is reminiscent of Dishonored which is one of my favorite games ever made. This falls a little short in comparison because the story isn't as tight and it's not quite as mystical but it's graphics, characters, dialogue, and replay value make it a very fun game. My game of choice is stealth over shooters because it involves a lot more skill which is why i enjoy this a lot more. The story and setting is very dark and haunting and at times can be quite gruesome.
Summary: If you are a fan of the previous games, as I am, then you will like this one. It's a worthy and faithful continuation of the series. Just as good if not better than Thief 3, a lot less clunky and a whole lot better looking. I have only a few complaints - in-game fonts used are just too small, there's just no good reason for it that I can see, other than that nagging feeling that someone seems to be nudging me to go out and buy a bigger tv. The other complaint is...
Summary: Despite its slow and dreary start, Thief builds to deliver an experience that most stealth fans will lap up. However, most Thief fans will mourn the loss of the reboot’s freedom and choice. That said, Thief is ultimately a game that delivers epic highs and mediocre lows, and for the highs alone, I have no issues recommending it to anyone.
