I am glad it's only 10 bucks.

Summary: I don't see why the originals needed to be updated. I played MI and MI2 way back when and loved em. The first one had all this silence in it, and music only at certain parts. That was fine. MI2 had music all the time, which was obviously very meticulously planned, coz it fit perfectly. The blockiness of the characters provided an ESSENTIAL part to the humor, which was the quasi-deadpan nature of it all.
Summary: When they released the special edition of the game, I was expecting a full (new) graphic interface, but they simply redraw the backgrounds and characters. They are as static as in the original game, only less pixelated. It was quite disappointing, indeed. The only nice surprise was that you can actually revert to the classic edition in the game.
Summary: When I saw the ad for Monkey I was thrilled. Same great game, wonderful story, whitty jokes in new graphics. I bought this game without thinking is the xbox is the right platform for this quest. The control isnt quite the same and although the graffics has improved, the characters look disconnected from the scene. I guess I'm getting old because all along I kept thinking about the old game.
