Summary: OMG this game its boring!! Im a huge LOTR fan, and this one just sucks.... compared to LOTR the return of the king it just sucks.... graphics sucks, gameplay and story its boring, the action is very lame... i defenetly dont recomend it...
Summary: Lame mechanics, lame game play, same fights as every other game. The only LOTR game that I actually enjoyed has been Battle for Middle Earth. This game feels very unfinished. The camera is super annoying in battle as it does not follow you, you have to move the camera while trying to stay alive...lame. I got through the first campaign and had NO desire to play anymore of it. I'm glad I borrowed this and did not buy it.
Summary: Originally I had hoped to play this game and platinum it. However, it is an inferior product, and I feel bad that it even bears the LOTR name. The single player campaign is dull, unimaginative and monotonous; before I finished playing through it once, I found myself bored with the game. The cut scenes do feature Hugo Weaving’s (Lord Eldenrod) voice, but they are extremely wordy. This detracts from the game. The online multiplayer is even worse.
Summary: I was so pumped for this game when it came out because the demo was so fun. But when i had the game it was the worst game EVER!! The campaign took me 2 hours to beat, gameplay is repetitive and only as good as the demo, and my disk was broken and player 4's screen would always be screwed up. I sold this game to ebgames 1 week after i had it. It not worth it to even buy for 5 dollars DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!
Summary: Lord of the Rings Conquest is a mediocre Dynasty Warriors rip off set in the LOTR universe. The classes of characters (Warrior, Archer, Scout, & Mage) are unbalanced, bland and frankly boring to play. The graphics in this game look slightly better than ps2. When you actually do win it is more a result of luck than skill as the combo chains are sloppy and not designed with precision targeting in mind.
Excerpt: After reading the back of this item i was looking forward to playing it, i have never been so disappointed, the game is slow getting into not hard to play and the graphics arent the best compared to other xbox 360 games i have. All in all it was a very boring game i was glad to get rid of it!
Excerpt: Being a fan of The Lord Of the Rings books and the films by Peter Jackson I was anticipating a much better game than this. Whilst trying to use the formula of Star Wars battlefront it seems that EA have created a game unworthy of J.R.R Tolkiens ingenious as the storymode is relatively easy to complete and the online is relatively poor. The graphics are also bad with PS2 and even Gamecube graphics being better than the rubbish that EA has given.
Excerpt: To all intents and purposes, I feel as though I should like this game. All the elements are there - Lord of the Rings theme, big epic battles, several different character classes to play, recreated Lord of the Rings locations... so why can i just not bring myself to enjoy this game???
Excerpt: I've had mixed emotions about this game. I could be playing it and having the most fun ever, then suddenly realise, wow this is rubbish, and to be truthful, it is. Lord of the Rings conquest uses an upgraded version of the engine from the game Star Wars Battlefront 2 (or so it says) but puts a Lord of the Rings skin over the top.
Conclusion: After seeing this game (and subsiquentially buying it) I became quite excited at the prospect of a LOTR-esque Battlefront, after returning home and eagerly awaitning my first mission to commence I realsied this game was awful. Firstly; Graphically it was not great, which asothers have stated can be forgiven if the gameplay is good, een if it does make your eyes bleed after 10 minutes of playing.
