Summary: The last three letters in the title 'The Golden Compass' literally define this game. I have never played a more boring game ever. You could read my science book and be more fascinated. If you hate someone, then this is a great gift to give them.
Summary: I picked the game up for $0.99, and the game is pretty pathetic. True, there are enjoyable moments, like fighting a tank while riding on an armored bear, but for most of the game you're stuck playing boring mini games as Lyra instead of destroying monsters.
Summary: I notice there is only 1 review for this game and it is a 1 star review. I think that is a bit harsh for the game itself. Personally, I knew what I was getting into when I bought it since I had read all the terrible reviews and even about some of the achievement glitches.
horrendous gameplay makes this one to avoid, regardless of what you think about the movie

Summary: I don't expect much when it comes to video games based on movies. Quite often they feature mediocre gameplay, a boring storyline that sort of, but doesn't really follow the plot of the film, and pointless objectives that make you feel the developers were banking on the franchise itself to sell...
Summary: The game is godawful. Truly, truly awful. But I am not sure I can blame the game - I think the game is awful because the movie upon which the game is based is awful. The gameplay is passable though, and ridiculously hard. The storyline though is just awful.
Summary: I bought this one for my daughter (13) for xmas to go with the new 360 system. She and I had a lot of fun playing through the game. Took us collectively about 18 hours to complete. From reading the other reviews, I guess we were very fortunate that we didn't run into any bugs or glitches.
