The game The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles features the main character Sheograth, who created a world in his image which is found to be between Dementia and Mania. Shivering Isles is a land that is protected by denizens. It is full of hideous insects, skeletal Shambles, flesh Atronachs, amphibious Grummites, as well as other grotesque characters. The player will be able to create his own weapon, find new ones as well as protecting armor. The landscape that will meet the player is quite bizarre and confusing with convoluted dungeons buried deep under the roots of trees.

Only available as a download on Xbox Live, Shivering Isles will run you about $30, along with a copy of Oblivion required to play it. By finishing the main questline, which shouldn’t take you long, you can nab an extra 250 achievement points on top of Oblivion’s 1000 already in place. I wrote my first review ever here and started with Oblivion because of my true love romance with Elder Scrolls. So I leaped at to chance to take on Shivering Isles as well. While I was not a big fan of Oblivion (I am a much bigger Morrowind fan, in case you care), I was a bit concerned about this new enormous, and I mean enormous, expansion. The Shivering Isles is a truly awesome expansion to an already addictive game. It's certainly a great reason to re-visit the world of the Elder Scrolls and won't disappoint fans of Oblivion. With new weapons, enemies, spells, environments, quests, and a story that makes the Knights of the Nine seem like child's play, the Shivering Isles really delivers on the promise of a great expansion pack. Shivering Isles is one of those rare games that combines some new with some old. The experiences in it are some of the most fulfilling(and ,sometimes, funny!) The moment you see the Isles for what they truly are, you are blown away by how unique the landscape is. The creatures are also very unique, with only a couple exceptions.
