Summary: I heard about this game from a few friends of mine. It's dark. It's character/story-driven. It's very pulpy and noir-ish. If those elements ensnare you, it's worth your time. Not often do I find myself actually caring about the characters in a game I'm playing, but this one had me enthralled. The Darkness II is very well-written, and hopefully you'll find it as violently endearing as I did.
Summary: Very linear game based on the terrific comic books. The new art style is different from the previous game, but it helps it stand out. There aren't many other first person shooters quite like this game, and for the price it really is a must have if you want to experience a very fun game. Very glad they kept Patton as the voice of the Darkness, but I'm disappointed by the new voice of Jackie. Still a very enjoyable game and worth every penny.
Quick, visceral action that almost offers more than a rehash of first person shooters.

Summary: The Darkness II is quick game that can be completed in 5-6 hours. However, the action is almost unrelenting. "Almost", because there are 4 or 5 completely boring sequences where Jackie has to walk (not run) around talking to people in order to progress the story. Like the first "The Darkness", the character models are fantastic and the story is worth following. Plus, there is no more running around aimlessly in the illusion of an open world.
Summary: This review will not go into all the details of what the game is about as others have done that well enough. I will just give my perspective. I got this game for myself after playing the demo. I really liked the different dimension that the demon arms gave to the gameplay and the concept of the darkness and Jackie's battle against it. I am not a big gamer and will not win any online multi-player contests, but I am not a complete newbie either.
Summary: I was a big fan of the original game, it stood apart from many FPS games at the time by virtue of its excellent story telling at the time as well as being a fun game to play. It took me a while to pick up the sequel as I was worried that the new developers would have lost the magic of the original and the new art style didn't interest me. Both turned out to be foolish concerns and with the game now available for only a tenner I thought it time to give it a try.
Summary: I have to be honest I have not started to play this game yet!. But from what I played in the demo OMG this game is alittle better than the first one with more thing to do this time around with your powers that alone is Awsome (If you played the firt one then you`ll know what I mean)
