Reviews and Problems with The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout

Use it for the fitness program, not the 'game'
13 July 2013
Summary: I initially didn't get this game because of its age (2010) and negative reviews (mostly about the controls), and went with the Ubisoft title which was newer (2012) and shinier. I'll save most of my thoughts about Your Shape for that review, but suffice to say it was frustrating in its own way.
Summary: I'm not going to go over how hard the navigation is - it is a pain! But after 1 week and doing 5 sets of workouts, I have woke up sore EVERY single day! Not so sore that I can't move, but a "ouch". I know I used those butt, quad, arm...muscles all week.
Good personalized workout once you get past the hard to use settings interface

Summary: I almost gave up on trying to get this game to work. I'm glad I figured it out though and got to the workout portion. A few things that were problematic: The very first thing I tried to do was set up my avatar. The controls for this are AWEFUL!
Summary: If you're looking for some structed workouts, this is the "game" for you. I don't watch biggest loser on tv, but I've heard how hardcore jillian & bob are. After two kids, I was hoping to get on track and loose some weight - this is perfectly planned out for you - you set your limits and time frames...
Summary: I have tried both of these Workout titles, and I would like to offer my comments. Biggest Loser: Pros: entertainment value. This game hooks you in and is fun. The encouragement cycles are mildly repetitive, but you know why you are here.
Summary: The only real improvement this game needs is use of the manual control or keyboard for things like entering current weight and calorie intake and other exercise. The hand sensor is just too slow to manage data input. BUT as a weight management/fitness program this is a great game.
Summary: I have played Your Shape: Fitness Evolved and this game. Biggest Loser easily trumps FE in my opinion. Where is bests FE is the fun department. FE is a bore. Yeah, it has the name brand workouts and such but the user interface and instructors are so dry I cant stand it.
Summary: First the bad. The controls are not very good compared to other Kinect titles I have tried. You might get frustrated with the initial setup, but you just need to be patient and get through it. Once you get accustomed to the controls everything usually works as planned.
Summary: I am really enjoying this "game" (workout) i love that you can add weights or a ball or not anything. I find it challenging and am looking forward to working out more and more with it. The only thing i don't like is that it is very time consuming sometimes.
Summary: Overall, the game is ok and serves its purpose. There are a lot of options, you can do your own personalized routine or choose from pre-set ones. You can also do challenges. So, a lot of variety to keep it fresh. I did the personalized test and did a couple routines and challenges.
