Finished week 1 - some tips!
3 April 2011
Summary: I'm not going to go over how hard the navigation is - it is a pain! But after 1 week and doing 5 sets of workouts, I have woke up sore EVERY single day! Not so sore that I can't move, but a "ouch". I know I used those butt, quad, arm...muscles all week.
Summary: The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout Kinect lets you do a full body workout without balancing on boards or holding any controllers. You simply do the workout - and the camera knows how well you're doing. We have the PS3, XBox 360 and Wii, and we have fitness games for all of them.
Better than EA. Much more trainer-ish than Ubisoft. Empowering

Summary: So far, I've used EA , Ubisoft and Biggest Loser. I think this is my almost-first choice. It might be because my bias starting with Ubisoft. I think the tracking is better with Ubisoft, and correction of posture is better with Ubisoft... but...
Summary: If you're looking for some structed workouts, this is the "game" for you. I don't watch biggest loser on tv, but I've heard how hardcore jillian & bob are. After two kids, I was hoping to get on track and loose some weight - this is perfectly planned out for you - you set your limits and time frames...
Good personalized workout once you get past the hard to use settings interface

Summary: I almost gave up on trying to get this game to work. I'm glad I figured it out though and got to the workout portion. A few things that were problematic: The very first thing I tried to do was set up my avatar. The controls for this are AWEFUL!
Summary: First the bad. The controls are not very good compared to other Kinect titles I have tried. You might get frustrated with the initial setup, but you just need to be patient and get through it. Once you get accustomed to the controls everything usually works as planned.
Summary: I have to say I was most excited to get this game for Christmas and pleasantly surprised by its performance. After reading all of the reviews for it, I came to expect some of the programming difficulties that would come with any Kinect games at this stage in the process. Pro's: 1.
Summary: I initially didn't get this game because of its age (2010) and negative reviews (mostly about the controls), and went with the Ubisoft title which was newer (2012) and shinier. I'll save most of my thoughts about Your Shape for that review, but suffice to say it was frustrating in its own way.
Summary: Like another reviewer said, I'm glad I bought this game before I read the reviews. I really like this game! I mean sure, I can sort of understand the negative reviews about the menu controls, but it's a motion sensor control, if you move, it moves.
Summary: I am really enjoying this "game" (workout) i love that you can add weights or a ball or not anything. I find it challenging and am looking forward to working out more and more with it. The only thing i don't like is that it is very time consuming sometimes.
