Reviews and Problems with The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout

Use it for the fitness program, not the 'game'

Summary: I initially didn't get this game because of its age (2010) and negative reviews (mostly about the controls), and went with the Ubisoft title which was newer (2012) and shinier. I'll save most of my thoughts about Your Shape for that review, but suffice to say it was frustrating in its own way. So I decided to try Biggest Loser after all, and I'm really glad I did. What I love most about Biggest Loser is that it feels like an actual guided fitness program.
Summary: I got this game to lose weight and boy has it helped with that. The game has milestone achievement unlocks that keep me motivated to turn it on each day. With taking the advice given on the game and doing the workouts I have lost 10 lbs. in the first 2 weeks (light intensity, 40 min. workouts). The only complaint I would have about this game is sometimes it doesn't see you correctly if you are wearing loose fitting clothes mainly on lunges and side steps.
Summary: I'm not going to go over how hard the navigation is - it is a pain! But after 1 week and doing 5 sets of workouts, I have woke up sore EVERY single day! Not so sore that I can't move, but a "ouch". I know I used those butt, quad, arm...muscles all week. Here are some tips for WEEK 1 (Setting Up) - Suggestion: wear shoes since there is some jumping. 1. Get an accurate weight before you play.
Good personalized workout once you get past the hard to use settings interface

Summary: I almost gave up on trying to get this game to work. I'm glad I figured it out though and got to the workout portion. A few things that were problematic: The very first thing I tried to do was set up my avatar. The controls for this are AWEFUL! There are icons but no words telling you what you are selecting until you move your hand over it and then it selects it faster than you can move your hand away.
Great workout and very happy with this one! Lose weight or get in shape!!

Summary: I bought this because I need to be motivated to lose weight and my friends dropped out on me, so I purchased this to have someone guide me (personal trainer)through on how to exercise. I opened the day after I got it and getting it set up was very time consuming, but after the first workout, on the light workout, mind you, I couldn't hardly walk the next day. So to sum it up, I got a great workout with a trainer talking me through it.
Great workout... worth the money... haven't stuck with it though.

Summary: This is great. You sweat, and is a real workout. You can't change the date when you set it up, but the workouts are very real. I love it. I have it for about a month now, and I've slowed down with using it regularly. Wish there was a person to motivate me to use it more. It's a great program, but really for self starters.
Summary: If you're looking for some structed workouts, this is the "game" for you. I don't watch biggest loser on tv, but I've heard how hardcore jillian & bob are. After two kids, I was hoping to get on track and loose some weight - this is perfectly planned out for you - you set your limits and time frames and levels - and voila, a plan for you. The body scan is a bit inaccurate especially with the height, but it can all be manually adjusted.
Summary: This game does give you a good work out... which is the whole point. However, the menu is not as user friendly as my experiences with other Kinect games. Also, it doesn't seem to track your movements as well as other Kinect games. Overall it seems to be a good game/workout, but has room for improvement.
Summary: This game is a very hard but good workout!! Very difficult to get started & set the game up! Once ya finnally get started it its a Very good game! movements must be right on with the trainer Or they get after you just like the tv show.
