The Beatles Rock Band is the epitome of perfection when it comes to the music genre of gaming, this game is one that will amaze and astound you truly. Harmonix has done good with this game, there’s not much I can think of in terms of improving it really, maybe more songs, but other than that it’s a perfect tribute to one of the greatest musical bands of all time, and it’s a great game as well. This is music gaming done right, plain and simple. Read more

If you like The Beatles, buying this game is a no-brainer. If you are neutral or unfamiliar with The Beatles, this game is a great opportunity to experience them in a fantastic new way. If you hate The Beatles music, you should probably steer clear, or at least try it before you buy it. Read more

    • A dream come true for any Beatles fan.

Just Cause 2 is a lot of fun. It is a beautiful, colorful world where you can blow things up at your leisure. It is a sandbox game that knows what it wants; give the player the freedom to create havoc in the most creative ways known to man. Therefore, it is a surefire investment. The sandbox genre has been dwindling since the adoption of its model by the role playing games and other story driven genres. Read more

As the music based genre continues to grow more and more effort has been put in to making each game in the genre special. The biggest and most interesting trend has been to make band specific versions. Guitar Hero started it off with an Aerosmith centric version, and since then there have been a couple of more band specific games released. Read more

The Beatles: Rock Band is as much a documentary as it is a game. The Beatles’ venerable music catalog is a great compliment to the Rock Band formula. This game is successful in both drawing new players to the music game genre and exposing a new generation to the music of The Beatles. The lighter difficulty of the game might put off some of the more die-hard music game aficionados but it allows a little bit more attention to be paid to the story that is being told. Read more

I bought this game for myself not knowing that my son had already gotten it for me. Words can't describe how wonderful this game is for a hardcore Beatles fan. I am mostly writing this review for the seller, because I ended up having to return the game. They were very responsive, and my account was credited immediately upon receipt of the return shipment. The item was sent quickly as well. Shop with confidence from this Amazon seller! Read more

The music is timeless (although the Beatles definitely had some bizarre lyrics, once you see them on screen). Great way for friends to get into Rock Band for the first time, since the songs aren't too technical and most people like them. At my latest Rock Band party, we warmed up with about 10 Beatles songs and then switched over to Rock Band 2, where we played 20 more songs and were able to rock out a bit more than on the Beatles tracks. • Great music, good way to introduce friends to Rock Band. Nice production values, creative animations for each song.
    • Limited number of songs. All the nice touches put into the story production go to waste with friends over, because everyone just wants to get into their favorite songs.
  3. "Great for Beatles fans with money."

The game is great. The guitar is probably the best that Harmonix has ever made. It does carry a steep price tag though, so you better love the Beatles. Read more

    • Great guitar, the most solid drum set, good visuals, good songs, harmonies, and you wallet will be lighter.

So, doubtless looking for new ways to wring money out of their back catalogue, The Beatles have licensed some of their songs to Rock Band. In order to maximise everyone’s profits, an entirely new game had to be developed – a prettier version of Rock Band 2 with extra bits, some limitations, and only 45 songs. Read more
