Tenchu Z (Xbox 360) Review

411mania.com
8 December 2007
  • Summary: What I often hate in critical reviews of games is that once the reviewer has latched onto a game’s flaws, they forget any positives the game has and proceed to bury the game when in actuality, the game has appeal. Not to everybody, but when a game does some things right, that should be recognised. So basically, I’ve been as honest as I can about this game, if you like the sound of it, do not be deterred by what has been said about it.

  • Conclusion: Lacking most of what makes a game exciting, Tenchu Z still seems to hold your attention for the time it takes to complete the game. As for the multiplayer, it is virtually non-existent. This game could have been so much more but fails to impress on too many levels to warrant giving it any sympathy votes, and as such scores very low overall. Here's hoping K2 give us a far more polished sequel to rid the ugly taste from our mouths.

  • Excerpt: Some people would equate the sound of footsteps on the roof to the arrival of a jolly man in a red coat come to deliver gifts to good people around the world. Others would check to see if an imcompetent burglar was trying to break into the house. However, in feudal Japan, it would probably be time to prepare to receive a sword through the gullet.

Tenchu Z

  • Excerpt: It’s hard not to have high hopes knowing your about to delve into a world filled with ninjas and Asian drug lords, so needless to say Tenchu Z seemed like a great idea on paper. As a fully customizable assassin, you’ll have to take down Japanese kingpins and rescue hostages while remaining virtually undetected the whole time.

Does Have Some Issues!

Britxbox

  • Conclusion: In order to be a ninja you need speed, strength and agility; it would also help to be born in 15th century Japan. Unfortunately nobody currently owns a Delorian, and wielding swords in the street will eventually involve armed police and a lengthy prison sentence. Luckily those wannabe ninja's out there can now get as close as possible without endangering the lives of themselves and folk around them, with Tenchu Z on the Xbox 360.

Tenchu Z

Game-Focus
2 March 2014
  • Summary: Tenchu Z, c’est un défi.
