  • Conclusion: I am a long time fan and I am not jaded as to how mediocre the series is, but I will be forever loyal and await the day where Ubisoft or another stealth game expert team takes a crack at it and really drives it home.

  • Excerpt: Tenchu Z arrives for the Xbox 360 and if anyone is keeping count this is the eighth game in the series. I have to admit that I am familiar with the name of the games, but I have not had the chance to sit and play any of them in detail until this recent review.

  • Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is Tenchu Z revolves around the same old story like always. You’re a ninja, you’re fighting for your clan and get missions from your leader, you’re saving your city, etc. But does it play like the old Tenchu games or have things been spiced up a bit?

Defunct Games
7 August 2007
  • Summary: Are you a big fan of ninjas? Then crack out a copy of Ninja Gaiden, because Tenchu Z fails in every possible way. The graphics are terrible, the story is dull, the levels repeat too much, the enemies are stupid and, worst of all, the game is never fun to play.

Xbox 360 Review - 'Tenchu Z'

WorthPlaying
7 August 2007
  • Summary: Tenchu Z is the first mission-based ninja stealth action game for the X360, and allows players to hone their stealth skills while slaying enemies to become the ultimate ninja. Patience and strategy, with use of the stealth kill system, is rewarded over a run-and-gun style of hand-to-hand combat.
