  • Conclusion: I am a long time fan and I am not jaded as to how mediocre the series is, but I will be forever loyal and await the day where Ubisoft or another stealth game expert team takes a crack at it and really drives it home.

  • Excerpt: Tenchu Z arrives for the Xbox 360 and if anyone is keeping count this is the eighth game in the series. I have to admit that I am familiar with the name of the games, but I have not had the chance to sit and play any of them in detail until this recent review.

Tenchu Z

ME Gamers
18 August 2007
  • Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is Tenchu Z revolves around the same old story like always. You’re a ninja, you’re fighting for your clan and get missions from your leader, you’re saving your city, etc. But does it play like the old Tenchu games or have things been spiced up a bit?

Defunct Games
7 August 2007
  • Summary: Are you a big fan of ninjas? Then crack out a copy of Ninja Gaiden, because Tenchu Z fails in every possible way. The graphics are terrible, the story is dull, the levels repeat too much, the enemies are stupid and, worst of all, the game is never fun to play.

Xbox 360 Review - 'Tenchu Z'

WorthPlaying
7 August 2007
  • Summary: Tenchu Z features a new robust character editor, allowing you to create your own Ninja. Much improved AI will be able to hear or smell you, so clean your blood-soaked outfit to not raise suspicion.

Tenchu Z

GameTrailers
18 June 2007
  • Excerpt: Ninjas and videogames are a good combo. You will find very few people that will dispute that notion. We wouldn’t go so far as to say that ninjas can make a terrible game awesome, but ninjas can make a so-so game a little bit better. Tenchu Z is one of these so-so games.
