Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: You won’t find many easier Achievement lists than the one in TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled . You’ll pretty much be rewarded for doing what is necessary to beat the game in its various modes. You won’t have to go out of your way too often to score an achievement, nor will you have to venture online.

Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled (Microsoft Xbox 360)

Diehard GameFAN
16 November 2009
  • Summary: : TMNT Re-Shelled is a good piece of updated nostalgia that mostly captures the essence of the original game well while making some solid and worthwhile changes, though it may not appease hardcore fans of the original or the SNES game, and some odd design choices and omissions keep it from being as awesome as it should be.

TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled

True achievements
13 November 2009
  • Conclusion: Achievements- now for the part everyone wants to know about. there are 12 achievements for 200 gamerscore as usual. there are some very easy achievements such as getting flattened or being zapped, and their are some difficult ones like completing the game with only one life. the 200 is very doable. nothing too crazy but some will have you a little frustrated. i personally found that toe be or not toe be was the hardest achievement.

TMNT: Turtles in Time - Re-Shelled Review

PlayDevil
12 November 2009
  • Summary: If you have 800 points on your account and want a mindless brawler to play with a friend you could do much worse, but with the quality of recent XBLA titles it seems hard to recommend over other titles. That said TMNT fans will no doubt appreciate the reimagining of the characters and enjoy revisiting this classic title.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled Review

VideoGamer.com
9 November 2009
  • Excerpt: We all love a bit of nostalgia. Just the other day we spent far too long in the office listening to 80's cartoon theme tunes on YouTube, discussing which were the best and which were quite frankly a bit rubbish. The good thing about YouTube is that it's free, and gives you just what you want, when you want it - and even if what you remembered so fondly is in fact a complete abomination, you can just click on something else.

T-U-R-T-L-E Power!

GIN
7 October 2009
  • Excerpt: Back in the early 90's, Konami's arcade lineup could never be beaten. Look at all the games they released: Simpsons Arcade, G.I. Joe (which I really wish would have come out on XBLA alongside the movie,) Bucky O'Hare, and of course, the six player mayhem that was the first X-Men game. But it all started with a 1989 beat 'em up centered on four reptilian ninja brothers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

  • Conclusion: True, there are $10 downloads that are worse, especially if you plan to play this with friends, or if the original game meant a whole lot to you back in the grunge era. But lots of $10 downloads are better, too.
