Review Summary

Superman Returns is a really exciting game. At the start of this game, players are taught on how to use their intriguing superpowers which include the power of heat vision, the power of cold breath and super-breath. Each one of these powers comes with an extra-super mode which requires the use of the highest level of stamina to be used. As the game proceeds on, your power goes weak as you use it but as you go on, your strength level will go up again. If you are just an ardent fan and couldn’t care less a…

If you are just an ardent fan and couldn’t care less about the plot then this is the game for you. The game doesn’t really develop much like one of its reviewers said. This game features many exciting scenes that will keep players on the edge of their seats including battles involving Metallo, Bizarro and many more. Afterwards, there’s no stopping the action as players are sent zooming through the streets if Metropolis while at the same time bashing various robots, giant lizards but it’s the flying that will make players excited and thrilled. Superman’s job as usual is to keep the city clean of any viruses, in other words battling villains while at the same time rescuing injured civilians. This is the same old routine of Superman which might bore many. But ardent fans of this superhero will never be bore of what he does. If they could read the comic books over and over again why not can they play the game over and over again.

At first the game looked very promising thanks to the trailers where we got to see many huge opponents and a city that was even bigger than San Andreas. Unfortunately, the game itself is all but "super", especially due to the repetitive nature. Recommended? Maybe if you really like Superman, but personally I think you better go look for something else to satisfy your heroic needs. The only cool thing about this game are the super powers and the first minutes of playing... Read more

Superman Return just isn't exciting enough to sustain your interest and, seeing as it's based on an excellent movie and a comic book legacy stretching back six decades, there is really no excuse for making such a brain numbingly dull title that is only partially saved by its above average presentation. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's just another sub par officially licensed game. Read more

In the ongoing discussions of what the United States should do with the Mexican border, I can’t help but notice that a vast number of people actually believe that walls cannot keep unwanted people out in any circumstance. While the closest thing to a castle which I’ve personally seen would probably be some military fortification or maybe a prison, those walls seem to be more than effective. Read more

Based on the award-winning board game and designed for two to five players, Carcassonne is set in a medieval landscape made up of 72 tiles. Players start from a single tile and then draw from a pool of remaining tiles to create a growing landscape and gain points for ultimate victory. Carcassonne features multiplayer modes both offline and online allowing players to compete against up to five players on Xbox LIVE and four players on a single Xbox 360. Players amass... Read more

Zooming about the city is really good fun. but that's about it. the size of the game is massive it really looks like they took their time to get this right. the combat is just rubbish its some of the worst i've ever seen. Rent this game and have a bit of a laugh flying about you could soak up all it has to offer in a spare sunday Read more

I rented this game for $5 and felt completely gipped, it was so awful. The only reason I gave it two stars was because of the graphics. The gameplay was so user UN-friendly, I gave up in frustration. Thank God I didn't buy it! Read more or see product

Ok this game rules the planet. I was confused until I did the tutorial and now it's probably my favorite game on XBLA. I'd been playing a bunch of single player and a little online and tonight I had a group of friends over to watch the NBA draft ... we wound up playing this all night. Read more

Played with this title a bit before getting bored. It’s the same enemies time after time. Once you figure them out, it’s a cakewalk. Not much variety in the game and there are only a few references to the Superman mythos that are of any interest. The only redeeming quality of this game is controlling Superman himself, it’s done really well in the 3rd person view. Too bad the story, poor graphics and empty environments overshadow Superman himself. I think the... Read more
