Summary: My dad had picked this up for me to try something different- big mistake. The characters are all cookie-cutter, and all you can change about their costume is the color. Some have power advantages over others, but all are just a 10 move button masher with no real technique. Another thing that annoys me is the 2D concept. You can basically corner your opponent and win or vice versa and take a beating.
Summary: Obviously you can tell by my summary that I didnt enjoy this game but I understand how you could like like this game, and I am going to explain my experience with it in pros and cons.CONS=1.Most of the time it ended up bieng a contest of who could press the button the fastest.2.All the characters are the same,or at least seem similar. 3.No reason or logic to the combos/special moves.4.Simple tasks like jumping and blocking are difficult.
Summary: Overview : Unless you're in it for the cover art, don't bother buying this game new or for $40. You can easily buy SSIV, the regular edition used for around $10~15. You can then buy a 1600 points card, for $20 and buy the dlc for 1200 points and have 400, or $5 left over to buy stuff on XBLA. You'll save $5-$10+ Why to AVOID Arcade Edition : Capcom is going hard, nickle and dimeing consumers.
Summary: The good news is that the pad works, but it is slow, most of the time you feel like you're dragging your character, and good luck trying to pull super moves, because the lag throws the timing completely off. To me this is just bad, sadly for me there aren't any more alternatives out there, I learned to play the game with a pad, I never played in the arcades, using a joystick is too uncomfortable for me, the PS3 original controller works decently enough, but the D-pad is...
Summary: I've never played a street fighter game before. There's no tutorial mode or even a decent explanation of the basic moves. There is only a command list with confusing symbols. It took me hours to figure out how to block attacks. I got frustrated very quickly with the lack of information & help it gives you. This game was made for hardcore fans only! I don't want to have to look on youtube for tutorials. It should be in the game.
