Street Fighter II’ Hyper Fighting Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: If I added up the number of quarters I’ve spent in my youth playing Street Fighter II’ Hyper Fighting I could probably have enough for a down payment on my PS3 reservation. Thanks to the splendor of Xbox Live Arcade gamers can download SF2HF for a minimal amount of MS Points that will enable them to...

  • Excerpt: " Slimy Brit. No-one has that power. You exploit the game; I'll rob you of your wins, every time. Pussy. " Nice chap, D357ROYER X. Good rank too, somewhere in the 300s. I was expecting the voice message alert though.

Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting

Xbox Evolved
26 April 2007
  • Summary: Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting will entice other publishers to release their retro games on the Xbox Live Arcade; this is definitely great news because it will help gamers appreciate the next-generation graphics while also playing their classics to death.
  • Pros: Quarter Match Mode is great
  • Cons: 360 Controller is not suited for Street Fighter II

Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting

Auracore MediaWorks
18 December 2006
  • Summary: The legendary game, or at least its shell, is there, but all in all not a great experience.
  • Pros: The original game is there in its entirety, which is enough said for most.
  • Cons: Menus are clunky and options are scarce, even a few that were included in the original; connection problems are aplenty; isn't enough people playing it; gameplay is definitely faster than the original, possibly hence the name "hyper fighting".

Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting (XBLA) Review

411mania.com
8 August 2006
  • Summary: Simply put, if you have 800MS points to spare and you enjoyed playing Street Fighter II at the arcades, you'll definitely have to pick this game up. If you expect DOA graphics and sound then you might come away a bit unhappy as I've mentioned before..

Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting Review

AtomicGamer
3 August 2006
  • Excerpt: Street Fighter II started it all for fighting games way back in arcades in 1991. Sure, Capcom's first game in the series, Street Fighter , was pretty good, but its slow-to-respond controls and mere two playable characters took away any lasting replay value it might've had.
