Crappy Graphics and Controls

  • Summary: I would not recommend this to anyone, unless you like crappy graphics and sophisticated controls. I played for like five minutes then threw it in the trash can I was so pissed.

  • Summary: I bought this game based on the reviews, but, it's very dated and not fun. I wished I'd payed attention to the dates on those reviews, because they were from 2010.

3hr game not my cup of tea

Jack A. Lana, Amazon
28 August 2008
  • Summary: I bought this the same time I bought Hard Boiled. And Like the movie I thought it had too much and way too much action no story what so ever. This game is just like that but it has horrid voice acting I've every seen and Heard. The only good thing about this game you play one of my fav actors Chow-Yun-Fat. But that's about it. If you had Max Payne and this next to each other, Max Payne is way more better.

  • Conclusion: I hated this game. It was so boring, and the bullet time gets old fast. I usually love games like this but this is an exeption. I dont particulary know what to say, many people have liked it and many people have hated it so i guess it is like marmite!

Stranglehold chokes.

Curtis J. Messmer "MessyDwarf", Amazon
30 September 2007
  • Summary: Stranglehold is the single worst multiplayer game ever created. These guys took a lunch break and decided to add some net-code. You have a game where you can shoot someone point-blank half a dozen times and still get nothing on them unless you have run around some box of a level and picked up a bunch of paper cranes to pull off some real trite power moves. Bullet time? Again?!? Single-play in Stranglehold has the occasional fun part but nothing at all original about it.

  • Conclusion: This game is the perfect rental. It's about 6 hours long (I finished it over a weekend), the single player is absolutely hectic with some nice set pieces. If you've played Max Payne you've experienced almost identical mechanics, the slow motion is dealt with very similarly, but since it's next gen we have lots more enemies (I think it's limited to 4 at a time but there's always more on the way, you'd never notice).

Do not buy

M. Cummings, amazon.co.uk
19 September 2007
  • Summary: What a waste of money. The graphics ae last gen at best, the gameplay is awful. The controls are just not good at all. Think GTA on a SNES and you'll be on the right track. if you're a fan of GTA, Gears, etc.. Stay well clear of this. You wont even see out the first level. Biggest waste of money on the 360 I've seen yet.
