DISGUSTINGLY HORRIBLE GAME. AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. NOT WORTH PLAYING for free!
8 April 2013
Summary: this game is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I am an enormous star wars fan, but they made this game in their sleep. The first one was decent, if not great (but the story was well done at least.) This game is less than half the length of the first, completely dripping with glitches, horrible gameplay, and an absolute joke of a plot. The nail that sealed Lucas Arts coffin for good.
Summary: The first Force Unleashed game was a solid button masher set in the Star Wars Universe. The sequel was dreadful. Having played the first game, I decided to try the second game on the normal setting. Bad idea. It took me less than four hours to defeat the game. Even worse, the game was repetitive.
Summary: What a waste of money! $60 for four levels, finished in 6 hours. This complete robbery. I purchased game with expectations it would surpass the first game. It did, in game mechanics and visuals, but it took less than 1/4 the time to complete. I will never buy another Lucas Arts title again after being ripped off like this.
Summary: A poorly developed sequel to an awesome game. I hated this game, I bought it right as it came out for about 60 dollars and I am still regretting that decision. If you can get this game for under 12 dollars it would probably be worth it. Otherwise spend your money elsewhere. The levels are almost all the same near the end, you can almost feel the apathy of the developers radiating off the TV. I felt like this was a regurgitated mess of the 1st game, with less enthusiasm.
Summary: First the good. Plays like TFU1. Now the bad. I beat this game in 4 hours even with the DLC mission, no variety in enemies, 3 different locations unless you count a 5 second run through Dagobah, the announcement of a TIE fighter mission where you fly one... doesn't happen, and the story line is in no way imaginative. The storyline at best is a rescue the damsel in distress.
Summary: After playing The Force Unleashed I was really looking forward to playing part 2. It was extremely disappointing. I feel bad that someone bought this for me for Christmas. Total waste of money. Buy the first one and pretend this one didn't happen.
Summary: I pre-ordered this game because I had so much fun with the first TFU game. Anyone in my shoes felt a little cheated I imagine. It seems like these days you can't get a big AAA title without bugs, this one had glitchy graphical stutters at times that were only resolved by rebooting the XBox 360 entirely. They were bad enough to get you killed on anything but the easiest difficulty setting.
Summary: Honestly, if there is any way for LucasArts or whoever to give us some of our money back they should for pure PR reasons. The game is fun, as fun as the first, but then you blink and it is over. The plot is half baked and incredibly short. I mean really short. 4 hours of game play and you are done. Recommendations for future versions: 1) give us our moneys worth, create a game that takes more than 8 hours to play.
Summary: This is my personal opinion of the game. Take it at that. Having been a gamer for a long time, and a huge fan of Star Wars, I was really looking forward to this game. Add in that the first game re-ignited my passion for Star Wars, I thought this game was going to be a MUST! I was severely wrong. The Good: They made improvements on the targetting system, the graphics, and incorporated some interesting ideas into the saber crystal system.
