Conclusion: But even on your own the game is tremendous fun. It is filled to the brink with subtle and not-so subtle tongue-in cheek jokes about movies, music and games. The game’s creators haven’t been picky about their targets and you will find references to Harry Potter , Monty Python , Lord of the Rings but also Highlander , Goldfinger , Beatles songs, Castlevania and the Warhammer franchise just to name a few.
Pros: Versatile magic system us tremendous fun. Multiplayer is simply a hoot.
Cons: While playable, there are still some bugs to squash.
Xbox 360 Review - 'Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Ultimate Sith Edition'
29 July 2010
Summary: Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition combines the original Star Wars The Force Unleashed videogame with three new levels set in iconic Star Wars locales and a host of new costumes and character models. This special edition of the game will show players the deepest, darkest side of the Force in a story that puts them on a collision course with Luke Skywalker himself.
Excerpt: Unsurprisingly for such a lucrative licence, there have been many Star Wars games over the years, though fewer that have been wholly centred around the darker side of the force. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, however, allows you to take charge of Starkiller, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, making use of his godly powers, of which you can overwhelm your hapless enemies with. It will certainly be a potential dream game to many.
Conclusion: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is a huge disappointment. For years now we have waited for this game to come out and now that it is here I am wishing the developers took a little longer to polish things up. If you are a Star Wars fan then you need to check this game out. Everyone else might as well wait for the pile of used copies that will soon plague stores.
