Summary: I've never had this issue before where the controller was plugged in, and yet the game doesn't even recognize it. Apparently this is a common problem. DO NOT buy this game if you wish to use the 360 controller! I would return it if i I could, but I paid to download it!
Summary: Multiplayer sucks because there are so few gamers, the game is very off balanced. People who have finished the game and got the fastest cars are mixed in with those who are newish. Very innovative with the power plays though loved that. I would recommend playing online only when you have gotten some of the fastest cars.
Summary: This game escapes from being just another driving game by the inclusion of some amazing set pieces. Building collapse, the track gets altered and so on. The graphics really are stunning and it's really exciting to play. If I can give one criticism (and really, maybe it's just cause I'm old), sometimes there is just so much going on on-screen that I can't follow what's going on, usually resulting in a big crash for my poor vehicle :-( Still, you can likely get this cheap...
Summary: The best way to descibe Split/Second is a marriage between Michael Bay and Need for Speed. The adsurd premise revolves around a reality tv show that varous promoters have entered their own drivers to compete in these races. Each level is presented as an episode of this show. You can earn the ability to control the destruction of the course by earning points through drafting, drifting, cornering, etc.
Summary: To start, I think this game is 10 times better than Blur. Why? Split/Second actually has a good sp. Good? Awesome. The best like "destroy the enemy" racing game I've ever met. First of all, the core mechanics are a dream. To destroy almost every single part of the city (bus, car, building, ship, overpass) gives an awesome feeling. Including the really good cars and the fair AI. Also, th e pretty unique game modes like the Air Strike and the Survival are really the best.
