Not quite what i expected

Summary: I found this game for a low price so I decided to pick it up. I was excited because I read some positive reviews and even watched some videos on youtube to see what the gameplay was like. Well it only took me like 30 minutes to realize that this game was not what I had imagined. The controls felt clunky and the camera was annoying most of the time. I also found the missions to be repetitive and they seemed to just drag on.
Summary: I wanted to buy this game because I was a fan of Spiderman 2 and I even liked the amazing spiderman and Spiderman 3 in spite of poor reviews. This game was the worst spiderman game I have played since the Game Gear spiderman. I thought that you could only improve on previous ideas that a game put forward but I was wrong. This game makes web swinging stupid easy and wall crawling battles pointless.
Summary: the massive error in programming of this, like most spiderman games, is that your character hops onto any surface and rotates the camera. this is especially s***ty when doing timed runs. changing your suit will for some reason change your direction and often flip you off a building. i dont find anything new in this game and i didnt find it fun.
Summary: I thought the web slinging around and fighting would be quite fun, but its so awful, the graphics are detailed, but for some reason it doest work. its a dissapointment, it just doesnt feel like the classic spiderman 2, and the storyline is just weird and doesnt make sense, its over cimplicated one minute youre in a city with cars and next minute its all gone and theres just zombies walking around, who are boring because it gets so repetetive punching them, once youre...
Summary: Spider-man as a videogame franchise has been up and down. And for the most part this game is good, with some very fun and acrobatic moves, and yes like all the Spidey games this one does web-slinging well. But seriously, developers and publishers have to realize that the Spider-man franchise has pinnacled and can go no further.
Conclusion: Well, I can't really remember the last good superhero game (excluding Crackdown) and this certainly doesn't manage it. The swinging ain't bad, but the graphics and fighting really aren't good. The voice acting is terrible, Spidey sounds like a 12 year old American that's really whiney. The story is passable, although I don't see how some of the stuff fits into the Spiderman universe.
