Summary: I'm a game collector for the most part so I was pretty eager to ante up the dough for a Atlus game figuring it would hold value pretty well into the future. This game bucks the trend of quality titles from this company. The game feels very burdened from the start as the tutorial leads you through a long winded set of instructions and story before turning you loose. The screens aren't all that helpful and feel much like 16 bit era directions on how to play the game.
Summary: This game is terrible. I adore tactics games and will usually play anything in the genre. I picked this one up used and I must say it is being returned to the store. I will reinforce that this game did crash a few times on me = unplayable after a certain point, despite the disc being pristine. There is also no option to speed up the slow slow slow text dialogue, which is usually standard on most games. The ATLUS QA team really phoned it in on this one.
Summary: COMBAT SYSTEM BROKEN. YOUR TOUGHEST GUYS WITH THE BEST EQUIPENT, HIGHEST LEVEL, CAN FALL TO ENEMIES JUST AS EASILY AS A PUNY MAGE OR CLERIC. THIS GAME WILL DEFY LOGIC TIME AFTER TIME. FRUSTRATING GRINDING THAT IS ULTIMATLEY POINTLESS. WATCH AS THE FEW LEVELS YOU GET FROM HOURS OF HARD WORK ARE PAID OFF WITH MEAGER GOLD AMOUNTS AND TRULY USELESS OVERPRICED WEAPON UPGRADES. BE AMAZED AS YOUR SUCCESS IS DICTATED BY RANDOM CHANCE AND NO STRATEGY IN SIGHT!
Summary: I was prepared to like this. I read reviews and they said this was a run of the mill, slightly unoriginal game. I thought that if that was all that was wrong with it, for sure I would love it. I was wrong. Mostly the problem is that the game itself sets you up for major disappointment. It creates a set of expectation but it doesn't fulfill them.
