Summary: spec cops the line is one of those types of games you look at the cover and you immediately pass on it. maybe its because this game was seriously marketed for the shooter fans, but this game is not just about the third person gunplay but the serious and mature story that lies underneath.
Summary: Spec Ops: The Line is a very simple game. Three military guys go into a deserted landscape looking for survivors. Soon enough, everybody wants to hunt them down. The game is very challenging and quite frankly, not a ton of fun. The shooting is fairly stiff, animations are poor, and the game gets repetitive after the first two hours. This would be bad, if the game didn't have an incredible story and characters. However, it does.
Summary: If you want a more realistic war experience, try this game. The graphics are sharp and clear, the guns are well balanced and it does not take half a mag to kill someone. The story line keeps you interested and the characters have personality.
Summary: This game had perhaps the best storyline of any first person shooter I have ever played, and I don’t say that lightly. The campaign had new discoveries and twists and turns every checkpoint. In most games the good guys and final objective are all very clear, this isn’t quite the case with Spec Ops: The line. Your opinions of all the characters will change a few times before the games end, who really are the good guys and the bad guys? Are there even good guys at all?
Summary: After just completing the game I have to say the story and narrative are amazing. This is a mature title for certain and the issues touched upon during the campaign continue to reiterate that mature overtone. This is war and your living through it like you haven't in past games in the genre. Actions have consequences and you see first hand what happens. War is horrible and this game depicts it in that way. I can see why it is from the writer of Apocolypse Now.
Summary: The campaign has a dark and riviting feeling to it with an emotional appeal. Best ending in a game I have probably ever played. Spoiler Alert: Lugo "dies". In the end, great campaign and do not even try multiplayer.
