Summary: Story mode is terrible on this one, don't like the new characters that replace quiet a few of the original characters, if they were just characters added alongside the originals then it wouldn't be so bad.
Summary: My nephew wanted this game for Christmas so I bought it for him however he had been playing at a friends and has grown tired of it now that he has played it so much and now wants the SC4. It is good game and would recommend it to someone who likes fantasy games.
Summary: The graphics and the character designs are awesome in this game, best game of the SC series for those two things. However the game play is a bit meh, normal is to easy and then hard is way overly hard, their is no middle ground when it comes to fighting an mpc. You either have to fight an overly easy mpc or though your hands up in the air as you die trying to fight a mpc for the twenty fifth time.
Summary: As said in the title, this release of Soul Calibur is one of my least favorites of the series. I don't like the new system for getting items, nor do I like the fact that they got rid of a lot of old time favorite characters. Sophitia's children really aren't that great of follow ups to their predecessors and some of the other new characters are just... meh. I do like the extent of things you can do in character creation, but again, getting items is kind of a hassle.
Summary: Like other people say, the single player options are lacking - they didn't have enough time to make the story mode any good. This game is better suited to multiplayer and online matches. Visually, this game is flashier with brighter weapon trails and bursting auras. I somehow find this game visually less charming than its predecessor. I don't know if it's the lighting or the animations or the overall tone or what.
Great if you love creating characters! Otherwise....meh.

Summary: I mainly got this game for the character creation feature. That aside, I feel it's lacking a lot of things that made the Soul series so good. Longtime characters are missing and the story mode (while being better than IV) is unfortunately shorter than what it was supposed to be. (Production rush...) Other than that, the battle system feels faster and combos feel a little easier to pull off.
Summary: Its OK. They focused too much on Customization though. The gameplay is not as smooth as the older Soul Calibur's I would not recommend this to anyone that just want to fight the Story mode is all over the place. Nothing seems real. All in all do not get this for full price. This is worth about 9.99 only.
