Summary: The graphics and the character designs are awesome in this game, best game of the SC series for those two things. However the game play is a bit meh, normal is to easy and then hard is way overly hard, their is no middle ground when it comes to fighting an mpc. You either have to fight an overly easy mpc or though your hands up in the air as you die trying to fight a mpc for the twenty fifth time.
Summary: Like other people say, the single player options are lacking - they didn't have enough time to make the story mode any good. This game is better suited to multiplayer and online matches. Visually, this game is flashier with brighter weapon trails and bursting auras. I somehow find this game visually less charming than its predecessor. I don't know if it's the lighting or the animations or the overall tone or what.
Great if you love creating characters! Otherwise....meh.

Summary: I mainly got this game for the character creation feature. That aside, I feel it's lacking a lot of things that made the Soul series so good. Longtime characters are missing and the story mode (while being better than IV) is unfortunately shorter than what it was supposed to be. (Production rush...) Other than that, the battle system feels faster and combos feel a little easier to pull off.
Summary: Its OK. They focused too much on Customization though. The gameplay is not as smooth as the older Soul Calibur's I would not recommend this to anyone that just want to fight the Story mode is all over the place. Nothing seems real. All in all do not get this for full price. This is worth about 9.99 only.
Summary: i guess you could say soulcalibur v was an alright game not great but still fun. i mean i was not impressed the story of this game is terrable it was not the best it was not the worst it was a little bit of a disappointment.
Summary: PROS: Graphics, Game play, Music, Sound, Online Multiplayer, Character Creation CONS: Weak Campaign Mode, Cut scenes look like concept art with voice overs, No Ending for Individual Characters.
Summary: I have been a fan of the Soul Calibur series since the Dreamcast, and even if I'm not a hardcore player, I know my way around them. To me, this is a step back from Soul Calibur IV, which IMO is the best in the series. It's not a bad game, but it doesn't give much improvement over the previous, so let me make a small list of thing I like and didn't like about it.
Summary: I really liked SC4 so I was expecting SC5 would be as fun. Well the gameplay is quite good, but I don't like the fact that there's no character skill anymore.. for example there's no more Soul Gauge Damage, HP Drain, Auto Unblockable Attack etc skills. That's what made SC4 fun, you can make all sorts of characters - you can also make one that has double HP bars but with low attack power, a character with awesome attack power but weak on defence.
