Summary: This is easily the best open world crime game I've ever played (and yes, that includes GTAs 4 and 5). That's because you can really tell the developers put a lot of thought into every aspect of the gameplay itself, as opposed to spending 99% of their time on graphics and map size (ahem!). What's cool about it is the graphics are still really good, and the map is satisfactorily big.
Summary: Born from a sullied and worthless lineage: the completely forgettable True Crime series, Sleeping dogs is yet another Sandbox GTA clone. But with clever writing, a memorable locale of Hong Kong, vibrant and terrifying characters and a soundtrack that may be the best in the GTA style games since the very first 3d GTA... Sleeping Dogs is greater than the sum of all it's parts.
Summary: If you like AC, GTA, and extreme detail, this game is for you. It combines the perfect city environment like GTA, and with its AC like combat system, you'll get hours of free roaming enjoyment. Not to worry though, because the campaign is long, and there are many side missions, getting you even more hours of fun. Now, the part that worried me when getting the game was guns.
Summary: Jeez the marketing guys at Square Enix really dropped the ball on this one. I'd never heard of this and only came across it when XBOX was running a 50% off download sale. I'd recently played GTA4 and thought the Hong Kong setting might be interesting so I took a chance...and absolutely loved it.
Summary: The game was addictive and fun. This game definitely deserves a sequel. Just don't fix what isn't broken. Just build on what you have. Keep it in Hong Kong and expand on the locations. The fighting system was awesome (it's similar to Batman Arkham City)! Driving was OK, but could use some tuning up on it. Overall, this game is a 9.8 out of 10 for me.
Summary: Sleeping Dogs is like GTA in Hong Kong. The fighting is unique and very well done IMO, the characters are well thought out and the scenery is beautiful. Its a sandbox game so you can either play the storyline or do the side quests (and believe me, there are a ton). I'm hoping they make a sequel to this game, I got a good month of playing time out of this one!!
Summary: This game is super addicting... I mean SUPER addicting. (Well, in my opinion.) It has a great storyline, great side missions, and and overall great experience that comes along with it. There's a lot of plot twists that just leave your mouth hanging right open. It has a lot of replay value and the achievements are fairly easy to collect also. I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of Grand Theft Auto, or any other similar games.
Summary: So I was pleasantly surprised by this game. I wasn't sure what to expect from it and just- wow! Its so good! It has a very strong story with likeable characters in it. I actually was cheering for the "bad" guys because they were actually quite good people making the best of what life had given them. The game play is really enjoyable, especially the melee combat.
