Summary: I love Hong Kong cinema. Movies like John Woo’s A Better Tomorrow, Alan Mak’s Infernal Affairs, and Jackie Chan’s Police Story are the kind of films I grew up with. Hong Kong cinema is unmatched in delivering imaginative fight choreography and exhilarating action sequences. Last time I visited China’s immersive scenery in a video game was in John Woo’s Stranglehold. It was a fantastic third-person shooter, but it was short, linear and left me craving for more.
Summary: Easily the most excellent game I played that was released in 2012. The characters and story are engrossing and Hong Kong looks beautiful. The settings are widely varied and I enjoyed exploring every inch of the city. This is a game that I have taken the time to 100% multiple times and replay at least once a year. I highly, highly recommend it if you're looking for a game with a tight story and excellent characters.

Summary: What a surprise this game was! It's more or less GTA with an Asian spin to it. It has some problems with camera view and such, but overall a great game. If you like the open world and GTA this is a no-brainer.
Summary: "Sleeping Dogs" is a great but sadly, very underrated open world/sandbox game, that has a ton of missions to play through, interesting story/characters and awesome gameplay.I would compare "Sleeping Dogs"with both GTA and the "Arkham" games, but with an Asian setting set in Hong Kong. The only con I would give this game, would be the graphics. They are not the best. But you don't need great graphics to make a great game.If you are looking for a fun and addictive open world...
Summary: Sleeping Dogs is one of those games you play and wonder, "Why was this not more popular?" Think of it as GTA set in Asia. SD has a great story. You play an undercover cop who's just returned from the US and infiltrates the Hong Kong triad. However as you progress through the game, your character starts to wonder where his loyalties should really be placed. Add to the excellent story, there're some excellent voice acting by a surprising number of A-list actors.
Summary: But like better, idk why. It's just so much better the way you can listen to Chinese phone call conversations and hear the "Aiiiahhh!!" when you almost run someone over. I like the driving in this a lot better too. Not that this is like some knock off of GTA, I'm just saying that it's a similar, open world type game that is just that much more fun.
Summary: No doubt. Sleeping Dogs is a winner. There are too many reviews comparing this to other games.. Stop! Those games are great! ..OK? Sleeping Dogs continues to deliver great gameplay, and great gameplay. I can proudly say that this is the first game I've ever successfully completed all achievements for :) Are you a casual gamer? Yes? Rock some Sleeping Dogs. This is an unforgettable game. If you are not satisfied within 30 days, I promise to not promise you anything.
