Summary: I like this game. Mostly for the MMA and fight clubs. The driving is not the best. I feel like it could be more responsive. That would make it better. Not only that though. This game looks really good on a 1080p screen except it doesn't support that high of resolution. 720p is its best. But really it doesn't matter much if graphics aren't your thing. Overall this is a really good game and I will be expecting a sequel!
Summary: This is a great game I love the story and the fast paced action in the game. However to me it's replay value is very low as there isn't much to do outside of the story. You don't always have a gun with you and you can't just go around killing people as in other sandbox games but all in all it is a great game I just couldn't grind through the whole story.
Summary: Walking into Game Stop one day, I was just perusing the games, not really sure of what I wanted to get. I didn't know if I would get anything. I caught myself looking at various third-person shooters and then I remembered a game I'd heard of before and been curious about - Sleeping Dogs. So I saw it and bought it. Enough of my story though. You play as Wei, a guy who just came back to Hong Kong from America. He was in trouble with the police or something like that.
Summary: Sleeping Dogs is immersed with spectacular gameplay and immense details. As one of the most unlikely locations for a sandbox game, Hong Kong is rich and vibrant in the exploration department. The Kung Fu, racing, and missions are all well developed and dynamic. The low point of Sleeping Dogs is the lack of content that can be explored once beating the game. Though it can be played through again, Sleeping Dogs provides little once the main story is completed.
Summary: this game was a huge letdown to me personally. I spent months waiting for this game and this is all they offer. like most reviews you read, this game has good graphics.sometimes. the storyline was great but the feeling of the game was poor. but sometimes the story is hard to follow. there is nothing to do when you complete the game so i just traded this game for assassins creed 3 to my cousin and i like that better. hopefully GTA V will make a better game.
Summary: i got this game on my birthday i was really glad i got this game. this game has excellent combat. so if your skin crawls from bones breaking like when you can break the enemies arm and or leg. after i beat this game i still have a lot of fun messing around afterwards.
Summary: Interesting sandbox game. the martial arts make the missions very interesting, nothing like it out there. it would be nice to have a longer story. the side missions are semi-interesting. The cars, sporty and fast, same with the bikes with some neat features like ramming makes police chases some of the easiest things in the game to deal with. gun availability sucks. i understand its hong kong, but a hand gun should be fairly easy to obtain in a sandbox game.
Summary: First let me start off by saying that i am a huge, and i mean huge fan of this game. First i'm going to start off with the pros. 1) the gameplay is brutal and very lovable. throwing people into dumpsters or into vending machines is just too fun. the melee in this game are just amazing too. 2)the sound in this game makes it feel alive and vibrant. i can feel the atmosphere of hong kong in my tiny room. there are also a good amount of side missions to keep you busy.
Summary: shooting and driving isnt the greatest id wait till the price drops a bit. but if you like gta style games you should like it, if it had online play that would be a huge bonus but still a good storyline with fun and different gameplay.
Sleeping Dogs Review: the Streets of Hong Kong are Mean, and Fun
Ikusaba, Game Informer
15 October 2012
Summary: In 2009 True Crime: Hong Kong was announced, then subsequently was cancelled. Not too long after Square Enix picked up the publishing rights and renamed it Sleeping Dogs. Even with the game's hectic development cycle it still manages to be one of the best open world games to come out this year. Your Hong Kong adventure starts in a shanty motel. You play Wei Shen, an undercover cop who has a very different approach to justice.
