Summary: My son is entertained for months. It does come with several starter characters but you will need much more. I didn't care for having to go back to the store and buy more. However after awhile I realized that obtaining new characters refreshed the game in his eyes.
Summary: It's a great game just a little short. I wish there was more levels since there are so many different skylanders to buy and add to the game. I do like that there are different characters but hate that it costs so much to get additional ones.
Summary: It's really fun, I would say sort of expensive to get the full 100% out of it, as that requires buying all the skylanders which is really expensive, but not necessary at all! If you simply want to go to all regions that would cost about, what? 50$?
Summary: I bought this to see what all the hype around Skylanders was all about. There's really two components to the product so I talk about the game and toys separately. The Game: Skylanders is targeted at children, but the gameplay is compelling enough to keep adults interested.
Summary: My 4-year old found out about this through a classmate... I bought the starter pack since I had an Xbox 360, and sure enough he loves it. He can do almost everything by himself, which is nice..
Summary: My kids got this for Xmas and they both like it as much as the first game. It seems like more of the same and has allowed them to reuse their older Skylanders which is good. Dungeon / area crawling type of game that unlocks in game money to buy upgrades for each character.
Summary: This is a fun sequel to the original game (we're on the xbox 360). I love that you can use your current characters and that new ones exist. I think the giant characters are maybe a bit too strong, making the game too easy at times, even for my six year old.
